Ok, so I'm now going to post down all my book ideas for you to comment on and see what you think. =]
Bear with me.
Ok.
The name Lok is given to the world that the first book takes place, thus named after the God, "Lok". There are a total of 10 Gods, in the beginning of time, Mant, who governed over the other 9 Gods took their spirits and embodied them in the worlds in the universe and he took the form of the Sun.
Lok, the 3rd God took the place in the 3rd world, as the earth-like world.
Mantarians are the group of people who believe in the Book of Mant and enforce it's religion.

Plot.
PosiLok are a corporation that supply the world's power. They take their energy from Kaits (souls/spirits) from the dead or recently deceased. They keep their power a well hidden secret for almost 300 years, until the Mantarians prophesise the Crisis.
Time is now measured by PC and AC (pre-crisis and after-crisis). Because PosiLok were stealing Kaits, none were going through the "Gate", where the souls are processed. Because so many were taken, Lok "shuts down" the planet leaving them to suffer in a dying world.

Well write the more to come! And get to work because it sounds interesting! I'm generally attracted to books about things which develop a system or a way of survival over time. And that kind of feels like where this is going...the Mantarians going into crisis because of abandonment by their God and new groups developing sort of thing. I don't know, but it sounds good to me! =]

Other than the idea of gods, it sounds vaguely familiar to Final Fantasy VII. A company (Shinra) supplies a city (Midgar) with power using the "lifeforce" of the planet, which is processed into Mako. But yours is different, so continue the work.
