My farrier told me my horse has hoof wall separation! I feel terrible! I'm taking extra extra good care of her right now but I feel so guilty. But the farrier says all the rain were having will be good for her hooves cuz of all the mud and moisture. I don't know how she got like that but I fully intend to make sure she recovers fully! She's had bad hooves though since we bought her so I don't think it was neglect on my part. Anyone else had a problem like this?

Aww, hope she, (she? right?) will be ok, my horse is having a little hoof problems, she's chipping parts of it off, but we need to get the farrier out here soon, her hooves grow like crazy.

Oh ya. Well that's what the farrier said is cuz her feet were growing so fast that the hoof wall separated. I think now she stepped funny or stepped on something cuz she all of a sudden hardly puts any weight on her one hoof. The cracks that she had in it are growing out and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong externally. I hope there isn't anything wrong with the coffin bone. But I'm giving her hoof supplements with a bit of extra grain cuz she doesn't like the flavor, extra hay so she doesn't lose weight, I apply hoof moisturizer, pick out her foot, I even gave her an extra treat today (molasses balls with a bit of grain rolled in them) and I checked the other leg incase she's stressing it too much. I'm even rubbing mud on it. I'm not sure what else I can do to help her other than call the vet, but I don't think she needs one right now. I'm also keeping the bugs off her as best I can.
