When I last went to a con, cosplaying as Rosalyn, someone said there was an Okage 2. Is it true, does anyone know? And is it just called "Okage 2" or is it "Okage: Shadow King 2" or what?

It is most likely not true. Zener works had already confirmed that they would not make a sequel to Okage.
So if there actually was sequel, it would not be made by Zener works, thus not having the same quality. And I highly doubt the project will be taken on by another company anyway.
So unfortuntely for us fans, an Okage sequel is just a pipe dream. sad

Acually, this is -not- a rumor, there is a second Okage, and there has been for years now, but only in Japan, Okage was a bigger hit over there then here and thus did not release an english version. It's a disappointing state of affairs. But thats how it is sometimes.

Weird, because I heard Zener announced that they had not/were not making a sequel. Perhaps it was just that they were not going to translate it.
Can you tell me your source? Some links maybe? I'd like to know more.

I have a friend who works in the video game industry, he told me all about it and that they said that Zener works had said that, with Zener's permission to lie, so as to make the okage fans (in amarica) belive that there was not. Really eaither way it was a big disappointment. They had said it to make it a little fair but my friend figured it out when he had to look though a bunch of new games (most that were only comming out in Japan, he had to cheak off the ones comming to amarica so they would send him some to play/test.) one year, it made me emo. He said he'd get it for me but i said no because it was all in japanese. I woudn't get the story or know where to go.

It leaves HUGE opportunites for fanfiction authors to pretty much come up with whatever they want. Hehe, myself included. So maybe it's a good thing.

No offense, but this whole story sounds very unlikely, especially considering that there is no information regarding a second Okage on the Zener Works website.

They had no plans to release it in America, so why post any info on a game we'll never play? Use your head, girl! lol It makes perfect sense that there'd be no info on it.

Plus, we wouldv'e atleast seen screen-shots of the game if there was, in fact, a second Okage.
