I'm a cutter and i want to know if cutting is a sin, I don't cut myself to try to kill myself, I just cut to relieve stress... AND PLEASE PAY NO MIND TO MY USER NAME I CANNOT CHANGE IT AGAIN

I used to cut. through prayer i was able to stop. but i honestly can't tell you if it's a sin. just to me one favour, keep it away from major veins and arteries, accidents do happen.

I also used to cut, not very proud of it either.
But I'm not really sure if it's a sin though. I do know that the stress and feeling down part is the devil trying to bring you down and make you feel like cutting is the only way you can feel better, but it's really not.
Just try praying and not cutting this time.

Yes that is soiling your body -a temple, I don't k now te verce, but I saw it in the tattoo thread gimmie half a second and I'll get it. I used to as well, it's not a good thing to get into, and stopping SEEMS even worse, but you've got to. It nearly killed one of my friends, and that scared me out of it

well...the bible doesnt specifically say.."cutting is a sin" but it does tell us that our bodies are holy temples, and that we are to take care of them...We are to take care of the body that God gave us...even if cutting relieves stress...God should be the one to take away our stress...not by our means...because sometimes our means are destructive.

Your body is a temple of God self mutalation is damageing the temple and putting it at risk. Any self harm is not supported in the bible

I cut. I started four years ago. If I was able to stop i would. Unfortunately, I don't have that kind of will power. I know God doesn't want me to do this to myself. He made me. He made me beautifully. I know this, and yet I can not stop. Therefore, I talk to God about it and ask Him to understand and to bear with me while I continue to try and control it. It may be a sin, but as long as you tell God what's going on, He'll understand.
