Wow, haven't been around here in a long time. Two years, actually. Well, two and a bit.
I think I dropped in once or twice but that was just to see who was still around.
I'm not bipolar. It was situational.
What's hangin?

Conan The Barbie Doll Glad to have ya back. biggrin
How can it be situational? I didn't know that was possible. Well, I mean I wasn't bipolar at all. Living with a bipolar parent and going through the things I was at the time gave the moodswings and by default I have the depression. Too much caffeine gave the impression of hypomania... stuff like that. They thought I had PTSD too....dunno if that's true or not. Still working through stuff.

Yeah, me too. I was wondering where the ******** you were. ;_;
So. Get on MSN. Or AIM. Or even ********, I hate Yahoo.
Or PM me.
(You know you think it's awesome that I'm on the East Coast.) I have a bad habit of not checking guilds.

Kiyama So what exactly is situational bipolar disorder? In my case, it would mean that a situation I was in caused symptoms very similar to bipolar, and I'm pretty sure the medication didn't help.
So I was diagnosed with it for years, and then told about a year ago "Oh wait, you just have PTSD. Sorry. ;D"
-not very coherent, it's 7 am-

Frankly, I don't buy in to the term "bipolar".
I am not "bipolar". I am not "mentally ill". I am certainly not "disabled" or "special needs".
I don't care what anyone says, or whats on paper. No one in this guild is sick in any way. Now, this is probably the most cliche thing you will probably ever see posted by me, but here goes
"Life is 10% of what happens to you, and 90% what you do with what happens to you"
I am slowly starting to realize that the only person keeping me where I am is myself, and not an imaginary chemical imbalance created by some M.D. or Ph.D who couldn't figure out why I was beating the s**t out of anyone who looked at me wrong and punching holes in walls.
I'm done with this label, and I'm done with using excuses to explain why I am where I am. I'm here because of myself, not my crack-addicted mother or my alcoholic father, or the "system". I may be a product of my environment, but I will, come hell or high water, make my environment proud to say that it made me who I am.

It's not because of the "chemical imbalance" inside my head that I have ******** up mood swings or so I'm told, it's because of ******** up stuff that happens in my life that causes ******** up stuff to happen to me.
