Eheh, mine comes from nothing so magnanimous... ^^ Cyn is an abbreviation of Cyndaquil ( this cute Pokemon critter thingy). I started using it as a joke (and to annoy a rather Final-Fantasy-purist friend of mine) after a funny episode with some friends, years ago. I hate Pokemon, but the name kind of stuck. And "padawan" is pretty self-explanatory... blaugh

I like mythology. Rhiannon is a Celtic goddess of endurance, inspiration and the moon (I'm also a Cancer which is a moon sign). biggrin

This is fun - good idea, duello! Sad to say, my name does not have as interesting a background as all of yours. You see, I really like fire and burning stuff (I am known as something of a pyromaniac; in its shortened form, "pyro") and my nickname "Aurah" (though I use it as my real name since "Caitlin" brings to mind average-low intelligence girly-girls, which as a generally misanthropic tomboyish honor roll student, I hate). Stick them together and you get "PyroAurah". The fire may also have something to do with the fact that I love foxes/kitsunes, the latter of which is associated with "fox fire", which also relates to "pyro".
Hahaha... My story is not as fun as yours, but I still like my name! ^_^

Well, this is actually my second account. My first was Scissors. But I accidentally locked myself out (this was before the password retrieval system made sense) so I had to make a new one.
As for where I got Scissors from.. well, I was sitting at my desk, and.. yeah. sweatdrop

i beg to differ pryo. i kinda like your name.. both of them, although i'm a little lost on where you got Aurah from as a nickname. But I suppose it's kind of like how people call me Draconas... but i digress, there are certainly some interesting stories here. biggrin

Yeah, sorry, I didn't really explain that, now did I? *Sweat* It's my penname on fanfiction.net. One of my friends learned about it and when she started calling me that it stuck. I like it, even though it's supposed to be pronounced like you're a retarded pirate (my words, not my friend's) so it's read "Arr-uh". But those who can't seem to pronounce it properly say it like the word "aura". That's fine, too. There you go, the history of my name! (Both in real life and in Gaia. I got two birds with one stone!)
And indeed, there are many interesting stories here! What fun! ^_^
