Hello, I'm the newest member of the guild (Thank you Maxie, and Hi everyone)but I have been...well hiding myself from my friends. Recently I just got a girlfriend who was once my best friend but she is away right now, and I only came to her when I was down at my most.
Most of my friends are just school friends, I cannot talk to them anyway, then there is my friend Eric...he is a big druggie with problems of his own. But he hadn't come to school the last few weeks and I have no idea what happened to him.
My last friend is too young to understand any of it, she is only 12(btw it is my girlfriends sister and I'm 15, so is she and Eric.)
Ahh okay thats basically what I have to work with, them, here, and Life Issues. No, I don't cut or think of suicide...actually I'm not sure about that last part, I don't remember much anymore.
Anyways I guess what I am asking is..should I start being more open, at least to Eric and my girlfriend? It really gets me more depressed than normal, also the absences of her and Eric are getting me down even worse! I really feel like crap right now cause I always acted and act fine to them....

if you feel like you can talk to your girlfriend and eric, i would say go for it! i mean, they know you best even if you are hiding fom them. but you have to be ok ahead of the time, with the fact that they might not understand what you're going through, and therefore their reactions might not be what you want.

Well she has told me to be more open, and not lie about how I'm feeling (oops) and Eric has came to me before. I'm just kinda scared...Theres is something about being unknown(ish) that I like.

what Iv been learning recently is that talking (to other people or just outloud to yourself) is a great way (prolly the BEST way) to vent and to feel better. Talking to people, being with them, they definatelt take away alot of those sad feelings because they distract your from them.
You dont have to go out there and talk to everyone you see and try to be popular, just try to meet new people, practice starting conversations. You'll make friends, really good ones smile
Its hard to get yourself to open up and meet new people at first, but it gets easier as you go along.
Good luck to you!

In my opinion, you should really drop the druggie kid, or maybe get him some help, becasue alot of the time, that can just make a person feel even more depressed, and anti-socialess (yes I made that word up). Try being more open with your girlfriend, even if it's just about little things. Also, maybe try making some new friends.
