Well. I wrote stories, poems...

And I want to see how you like them. They will be posted in the normal red color, got it?.

--~*~--

Guilt...

It is the color of a dark shadow, forever lingering over you.
Its heat is the sandy desert with no water, but just a mere mirage.
It freezes the heart like an icy blizzard battering your face with pain.
It sounds like the eerie silence of a deserted island...a deserted heart.
It tastes bittersweet, like the blood bitten into your skin.
It smells like the smoke of an eternal fire, burning within you.
Its looks are a grim cloud, always pouring fear around you, soaking you with unhappiness.
It feels like the point of a nail, biting into your flesh.
Its movement is a creeping serpent, sliding its way through your weak soul, waiting to strike.

--~*~--

A poem I wrote in 5th grade. We were learning about describing certain emotions with feelings. This was edited and spell checked several times.

I've finally dug up my poem book under my bed...heh...

S E A S O N S

Winter snow dusts the ground,
Like powdered sugar falling.
Endless white spreads on,
Eternal 'till the sun reaches out.

Spring rains upon the Earth,
Moistening the frozen soil.
Colors emerge from quiet sleep,
Aromas of joy fill the air.

Summer brings the rising heat,
Flaming rays burning our sensitive hearts.
Melting the cold stored from before,
Untouched by the natures eyes.

Fall brings fiery color,
Raining down upon falling leaves.
Dancing echoes ripple down,
Repeating the seasons before...

Hmm... I like the images in the first one, but the lines feel a little long. The second one is nice as it is. Do you have anything you've written more recently?

Eh, sure...:

--~*~--

Dreaming of Memories

There was an eerie emptiness around her, ghostly waves rippling above the translucent landscape. Nothing stirred and there was no sound except for her shallow breathing. Bright white crystals slowly floated from the sky, settling carefully onto the barren world, glazing her flushed cheeks with a powdery snow. Sounds of gentle bells twinkled in her ears as she heard the faint laughter of a young child.

A swift silver line pierced through the wintry scenery, speeding toward the everlasting horizon. From it, bled the colors of a delicate sunrise, and blue water reached out from the glimmering streak. Soon, the girl was surrounded with a beautiful beach, languid waves lapping at the sandy shores. She saw herself, resting, on a silken hammock with her parents beside her. A smile spread across her lips, and tears welled up in her eyes.

The waves withdrew into the calling ocean, and the girl felt herself being swept up into the wind. She was then a glorious eagle, soaring in the clean breeze, vast wings reaching into the distance. Her body changed again, and now she was a majestic lion, fur proudly glimmering in the golden sun, eyes flashing with fiery pride. A thunderous roar erupted from her throat, mixing with the beat of her massive paws. The sounds blended together, and her eyes closed.

Her sight darkened, only allowing her ears to take in more of the girl’s surroundings. The wind whispered secrets only she could hear. She again heard the laughter from before and identified the fading echo. It was her quiet voice, filled with a bright joy. Her parents’ faces flashed in her mind, their smiling faces brimming with happiness as the girl caught fragile snowflakes with her tongue.

Her true eyes opened, and the girl felt her face cautiously. It was damp with tears of remembrance and grief. She wanted to relive her dear memories, see her parents again, but she knew that she had to live the present and prepare for the future. Opening the window, she smiled silently and weakly.

Powdery snow had rested upon the sleeping ground, echoing the dreams and memories she now has.
