...Well, I've been taking the last few days to go over the previous pages on the RP threads, including some of the other villages besides Konohagakure.
And personally, I'm both impressed and irked.
I'm impressed that: Yes, it has indeed been literate, and the RP actions have been of generally high quality.
I'm irked that: Lately, only a few people have been active on the threads. I don't mind that people aren't there; after all, real life can become a hassle to being a Gaian. I've had problems with that myself.
The big problem is that people post a few RP actions, and then seem to be away for weeks on end without giving any sort of notification on the corresponding guild forum for absentees.
From what I hear, the guild leader is also a little peeved regarding this lack of activity.
It's been nearly a week since the last post on this RP. Everyone, let's not let this wonderful RP just sit around. We have a reputation to keep up! =___=

I'd have to say that this can be attributed to the Tragedy of the Commons.
It works like this, say theres a total of 30 role players in a thread and normally each of them posts once every month that passes making it a good and even path of a post every day for the entire year non-stop.
Then one of these role players think to himself, I've been really busy lately and if I merely just skip every other month that I'm supposed to post, then I get twice the time to solve my problem with only one day out of every two months not having a post for others to read.
That's no big deal, its just 1 post out of 60, a tiny effect. But then when everyone else also thinks in the same way maybe for different reasons, what you have is then only 30 posts every 60 days.
Soon this becomes the norm and again those who may honestly actually be busy and need the extra time again cut back and so on with the cycle repeating itself until the forum becomes a ghost town.

Wat we need is a regular cast of people who can commit to posting something once a month. I don't think that should be too hard. I think....
