(And normally, you are both supposed to decide how to pay for a ref before the battle starts, but I'll ref for free this time.)

Sorry, had a "Referee's block", if such a thing even exists. sweatdrop
(^ Meaning that I can't write a thing for the life of me.)
Anyways:
Clouds drift along the horizon at this 67 degree Sunday as the battlers prepare to rock this Arena. Hope those attitudes are waterproof, 'cause those clouds sure look heavy today.
Okay! This battle is between Pokecatt and kedelko, 1 on 1!
Pokecatt has chosen to use her Zephyr.
Zephyr is a level 1 Wind type monster. He knows the attacks Cyclone and Escalation.
Kedelko has chosen his Sasha.
Sasha is a level 1 Wind type monster. Her attacks are Escalation and Cyclone.
Pokecatt, since you issued the challenge, you attack first.
Afterwards, it's kedelko's turn to blow us away.

(Gah! Forgot about this one, so sorry!! gonk )
Rising into the air, Zephyr closes his eyes to better feel the winds around him. An extra flap of the wing here, a swish of the tail there is all that is seen as Zephyr seems to dance randomly around in midair.
Sasha reacts to the command instantly, her small wings flap furiously, quickly bringing her closer to Zephyr.
She starts to reach out for him, readying the strong grasp needed to fling him towards terra firma as a cool, harsh wind blows that takes her by surprise and throws her out of course.
Keeping as steady as possible in the strong north wind Zephyr watches calmly as Sasha figures out what is up and what is down on herself before she stabilizes her flight, a good 15 feet away and down from where she originally was.
Zephyr: 100 %.
Sasha. 100%.
Well, that was an easy start.
Kedelko, your turn!

Swinging her tail against the cold wind, Sasha begins her influencing of the weather. It looks as if the wind is giving her a bit of trouble getting the movements right...
Zephyr strains to stay on course as he flies downwards, eyes tearing up in the dry cold. He stretches his arms out and graps a hold of Sasha's wings. Sasha, having been completely absorbed in getting the Cyclone right, eeps in surprise and her tail jerks backwards, striking Zephyr on the leg.
Not letting a minor bruise stop him, Zephyr begins to fly higher, dragging the captured Sasha with him through the harsh winds.
After a good 30 feet, the air grows colder and the wind slows.
- Perhaps a bit too sudden.
Zephyr, sensing that something bad is coming, releashes Sasha and tries to sense the changes, frantically rotating on the spot.
Blood rushing back into her wings, Sasha watches as Zephyr panicks. Even she isn't quite sure what is coming, so she starts to fly downwards. Scared but no quitter, Zephyr spots Sasha and graps a hold of her once again, determined to pull off the Escalation no matter the weather.
Sasha growls at the manhandling and struggles, using her long tail to hit Zephyr where ever she can. Zephyr retaliates by pulling one of her wings as he once again drags her upwards.
Sasha skrieks in pain and anger, but the sound drowns in the sudden barrage of hail that descends upon the Arena.
Zephyr, busy dragging Sasha, takes the brunt of it and falls towards the ground. Sasha manages to avoid the falling Zephyr and flies downwards, hail painfully bouncing off her back.
She flies to Pokecatt to hide from the hard ice beneath the tree, while Zephyr, managing to steady himself a few feet above the ground, flaps his way to kedelko to await further instruction.
Zephyr: 88 %. Ouch. That will bruise later.
Sasha: 90 %. Wings still all tingly? The cold isn't helping at getting the feeling back in them.
Good thing that a strong umbrella is part of the Referee Standard Equipment. Too bad that none of you guys have one.
Pokecatt, your turn!
