Such a far off memory now that only those hidden among the ruins can remember.

Let the bloodshed...BEGIN!

((GLER!! I didn't see thoughs! grrrr.... and I'm sure I had an RP post in there!))

Gabriel stood atop a large hill looking at the large army that had camped down to rest after a long days march. After so many days of planing, after clawing his way to the top. After so many sacrifices his first true battle of the war was at hand. Sure Fire had fought in many other battles but forces had conspired to keep the fire master out of the fight directly.

But now... Now Gabriel was going to fight along side his men.

Matthew, legs crossed on a table, was leaning back on a chair against the tower's stone wall, slowly but surely fading into the void of dreams. The night before was cold and full of unrecognizable noises, all causing him and a fellow gaurd to twitch uneasily. They were currently looking for any signs of aggresion, be from where was unnesassary. 'This peace has lasted too long... Matthew had been thinking this past week, nearly becomign two. To him, the other elements were too quiet. There was usually one sort of skrimage occuring somewhere between two of them. Not recently though, as if everyone was saving their energy.

"Commander!" The gaurd shouted, startling Matthew enough to make him fall over in the chair, completly awake. "There is movement on the plains to the North West! It isn't tall black grass either!"

The master quickly shot up to the window to see for himself. This announcement had fufilled Matthew's proficies. What nation's banner was being carried though wasn't clear. "Run down to a horse and head for the palace immediatly. I'll join you later."

Without hesitation, the startled man clumsily ran down the round stairs, hopping onto any stead he saw. Luckily, thought Matthew, it wasn't the armored one.
