Just curious, as to which... In your opinion, is the greatest Final Fantasy Game of all time?

In my opinion... Really, the only one that counts =P ... the greatest Final Fantasy Ever is and will always be Final Fantasy 6.
I mean not even half way through the game the world as you know it ends and your loose not only your airship, but your entire team!
The characters are deep and the story kicks a**, it's further proof that you don't need amazing graphics to have a great game.

Probably Tactics. 3nodding It was the only FF that I had a really hard time beating. I'd be going along and think I'm going to win this battle and then OH CRAP I FORGOT THAT BLACK MAGE WAS THERE *FIRE* *DED* x.x
...that happened a lot, actually. Aside from gameplay, the story was really good and complicated and the characters were great and....just a really awesome game. FF9 and FF12 are also favorites; 9 because I just loved the characters so much and the love between Zidane and Garnet/Dagger just turned my heart to goo, and Steiner's so funny and Vivi's so cute and Freya's so cool and I JUST LOVE EVERYBODY heart heart heart And 12 because I'm horribly biased and love Ivalice to pieces. It's such a neat, well developed world. And it's SO pretty in this game. And the characters are fun and I adore House Solidor. I have a weakness for those powerful, disfunctional families where the sons fight each other for power. Oh, and the gameplay is fun, and I love the loot system.

I think that the best Final Fantasy game would have to be Final Fantasy 7 and Final Fantasy 10. I can't decide because in each of the games, the stories were very well done and I liked the way the characters acted and what parts they played in the actual story. I also liked in Final Fantasy 7 the whole Gold Saucer events because I liked to play the games. I also liked in FFX how you got to play blitzball. I wish that Cloud wasn't such a cold-hearted loner but that was the whole story. I also hated Tidus in the beginning because he was acting like an arrogant child but then he changed his attitude as the story progressed.

I like them all~
But the one that really grabbed me was Final Fantasy X. It was the only game that I was really passionate about finishing. It also persuaded me to play the other games... The graphics are amazing, as most FF games are, I liked the characters, and the feel of the game was very pleasant and a lot less intense. The cheerful colors and pretty settings helped alot...
But I may change my mind when Final Fantasy XIII comes out. It looks promising. ^-^
