This couple is perfect, nuff said
They need each other and it's obvious for anyone's thats played the game that they have deep rooted feelings for each other.

Well first off, when Locke saves Celes from her imprisonment in South Figaro, before they escape she asks him "Why are you doing this? What is it that you want from me?" Locke simply answers "You remind me of someone... that the Empire took away from me... I'm going to protect you" and then they escape to Narshe.
Secondly, when your party set forth to free the espers held captured in the magitek facility in vector, Kefka crashes your little rescue party and lies saying that Celes had led you here, hearing this, Locke is the first to say that "We trust Celes, She's on of us!", Kefka, being the a*****e he is, attacks you with a fire spell, Celes, stops this with an Ice attack saying softly, "Locke.... Let me protect you for once" Then she casts warp on herself and Kefka.
Lastly, after the world ends in the first quarter of the game, and Celes is left stranded on her island with Cid, she spends her days catching fish for her ill grandfather (Cid) and wondering what happened in the year that she had been in her coma, one day she walks to the top of the cliff over looking the ocean surrounding the island, a carrier pigeon lands a few feet from her and drops off a weathered bandanna, rushing over to it, Celes picks it up and recognizes it as Locke's, realizing that he could be alive, she starts crying and says to herself (and Locke) that she never gave up believing that he was alive, and that she'll find him, so he better wait and not get himself killed.
Thats my obvious proof =3
