I liked Miyavi's new sound. It's like, he's experimenting with different sounds and types of music, but staying true to what he believes is "neovisualism". great stuff guys. what do you think?

I personally just love the fact that he's experimenting with music itself. It's not even just different types of music because this time around he even put a freakin' tap dancer in it. Tap alone isn't generally thought of as music, but music in principle is a rhythm that can be made with any sound. Same as how you can make a song from banging on pots and pans, you can use the sounds from tap shoes as an instrument.
Aside from that, I absolutely love that melodic chorus part of Sakihokoru Hana no You ni.

I'm addicted to his new song. It's become my new favorite and I'm not a huge fan of that style. I dunno if you wanna call it hip hop or something else but I normally stay away from that brand of music. I was floored when I heard it from Miyavi. I've been watching the vid like non-stop lol.

Ok..his new song isn't 'bad', I have to admit that I'm a little addicted to the song and video xD But I don't like his new style, I mean his fake tattoo in his cheek, his hair and the 'rapper' style in the video Kabuki Danshi (I think it is like a continuation of Neo Visualizm PV)...The man seems to be very influenced by the occidental culture in those two new PV's But anyway, Miyavi is Miyavi...And we love him!! heart

I don't really understand why people insist on calling paint on his face a "tattoo" fake or not. It's paint. I'm sure you guys got your face painted at fairs and stuff when you were a kid. It's not like he can't do something like that now. Heck, he painted his face a little for Freedom Fighters only it went with the army theme.

Eh... I personaly don't really like where his style is going compared to what his style has been, but I still like it and it's really interesting to watch him change. I thought that the tapdancer was kind of funny. whee Like, I can completely imagine Miyavi having more songs with random tapdance solos. The beatboxer, [[Tyko, I think?]] though, I dunno... I mean, I suppose it's better than having Miyavi try to sound like that [[that would probably sound a little strange...]] But it's... I dunno. It's not really solo anymore, in a sense.

In a sense yes, because there's other people present, but at least in regard to writing the songs and everything, he is still solo. KAVKI BOIZ are kind of just there like his support band is for him during concerts. Actually technically when he's in concert lately because of this new style, they ARE his support band. What makes him still solo though is the fact that he's still the one calling the shots. It's not a band collaborative decision in writing the songs, it's Miyavi's decision and Miyavi deciding what sounds right and what doesn't. What he wants in and what he wants out. There isn't really much input or anything with anyone else like there would be with a band in which the music that results is a collaborative effort of the other members. While KAVKI BOIZ might all have their own roles, it's not really any of them making decisions on how they should play their roles.

I'm pretty glad that he is sharing the spotlight - but also, just bringing something new to the table. The tapdancer, beat boxer, taiko drummer, painter guy....
btw, I'd love to see a reference for all of these guys. I really only know the painter guy's name. XD;;;
Anyway, it's so different and visual and BEAUTIFUL. While some miss his old stuff, Miyavi is amazing and always keeps true to himself - don't stop, keep moving and exploring different ways to use his skill and talents.

I should be able to look up the names of the other guys soon if no one else gets to it first. I got the limited edition version of the mini-album and it credited all the members of KAVKI BOIZ. The thing is I'm between places right now since I just got a job, so it might be awhile before I'm able to. sweatdrop
