summary: today was going to be a good day... leon is your average college student who gets up early every morning to get coffee at the new cafe on campus. there, he meets newcomer yuffie. between coffee in plastic cups and dancing with the mop, this is one love story that will have you laughing.
author's notes: this was a dedication fic to my good friend kaitlin based around one of her original works and favorite leading man: squall leonhart. all of the reviews i received prooved to me that this is one of my best works.

SNEAK PEEK
♥ Something else in the kitchen crashed onto the floor, and another string of curses followed. He knew now that the dirty mouth belonged to his waitress. She came back out of the kitchen, a plastic cup filled to the rim with coffee in her hand. “Here.” She set the cup in front of him. He just sat there stunned.
“What the hell is this?” he asked, pointing to the plastic cup.
“Your coffee.”
“Why is it in a plastic cup? Shouldn’t is be in a mug or something…” he glanced at the name tag on her shirt. “Martha?”
“Look, sir,” the girl said, placing her hands on her hips. “First of all, my name isn’t Martha. I found this tag in the storage room. Second of all, I just broke my second mug this morning. The first one had my own coffee in it. The second one had yours. I was told by Cid, the owner of this café, that I would be fired if I broke anything else. To lower my risk of expulsion, I put your new black coffee in a plastic cup.”
He looked at her as if she had a second head on her shoulders. The girl sighed and took a seat across from him. She reached her hand over the table. “The name’s Yuffie,” she said.
His eyes dropped from her face to the lone hand. He shook it slowly. “Squall Leonhart. Leon, please.”
A giggle escaped Yuffie’s lips. “Squall? What kind of name is Squall? Sounds like a birdcall or something.”

You have left me amazed by your creativity with Yuffie & Squall's personalities. You've done such a good job portraying both of them, and you totally made me giggle and smile during some parts of your story. xD;
At the end, I was kind of like "Err..." when I read the kiss scene because I found it kind of awkward for Squall to take the initiative to kiss Yuffie still so early on in their relationship..but it was okay. You didn't make the kiss cheesy and overrated, and the few ending lines totally owned my face.
ANDANDAND- - - I was totally on a I'm-not-reading-fanfics roll, but you kind of pulled my out of it. I'm even thinking about trying to write more for the KH and FF fandom now. biggrin
So...thanks for the enjoyable read. *huggles*
