The Story...
Three gangs have been struggling for control of the same part of New York for the last few years. Neither gang has yet to gang much power over the others until the Bachshire Boy’s gang’s leader was gunned down in a convenience store robbery. The Bachshire Boy’s went into hiding, as the last two gangs remaining; The Red Ravens and The Black Crosses began to fight more heatedly for power. Almost two years since then, the Crosses have begun to gain the upper hand. The Bachshire Boy’s had split up, becoming individual bands on their own. Some bands are siding with the Ravens and others with the Crosses but either way it is still all out war.

Bachshire Boys
The Bachshire Boys are made up of mainly rich boys. form the Bachshire neighborhood in the northern part of the setting. A few of them are drug dealers although no one in this gang is drug addicted. Their sign is a gold coin on a black field, most commonly displayed on a white, black decalled bandana.
Red Ravens
The Ravens are made up of mainly poorer kids who grew up in the streets. Most never had parents and the gang became their family. These kids have a stronger connection with each other, but more deadly fighters. Their sign is a spraypainted metal raven on a dogtag.
Black Crosses
The Crosses are the most diverse group, having members from every walk of life. The Crosses have better stealing skills and hackers. (more to be added) Their insignia is simply a black cross, displayed in multiple ways.

Rules
Yes, rules. No one likes 'em and you thought you were going tog et away without them didn't you? Oh well here they are:
1. Be literate. No one liners. Even under writer's block you can think of at least two sentences. And I don't mean things like "He shook his head. He sighed." Posts like that are sad and make me want to wonder what killed your creativity. confused
2. Follow the Gaia ToS. Its as simple as that, no explanation required. Also follow my rules for this subforum. Don't know what they are? Go read 'em.
3. Romance? Feel free to throw it in there, it could add some fun twists if used right.
4. Action? Blood? Gore? All fun and great to toy with, especially with the doctors disecting the dead affected peoples.
5. No ignoring people. I've learned this from past experiences. Its just rude, don't do it.
6. Use [], {}, () or (()) for OOC please. Just because you're lazy don't confuse the rest of us. (assuming there will be a 'rest of us')
7. If you want to use slang or altered forms of words, write them correctly.
Examples: Ya'll not yall, Ev'ryone not Evryone, 'em not em.
8. More to be added, just wait and see.

Bio: Kira grew up inside the ravens as the boss’s kid sister. However she didin’t get it easy. Her brother made sure she was able to protect herself, in the case of mutiny, fights or anything else, by teaching her basic street-fighting techniques. But Kira preferred weapons, taking up Tae Kwon Do at a local dojo where she is of a red belt status. She started to learn to use Kamas and since has carried around her pair at all times.
Personality: Feisty and forthcoming, but she knows when to stay quiet. The only person she will listen to one hundred percent of the time is her older brother. She’s known to be volatile and reckless and has a love of birds.

Notes and UpdatesOkay, now I realize no one likes to kill off their characters, but if for some reason your character is in a pretty close to death situation, please make the outcome realistic!
For example, if there’s a gun to your head, you don’t make it out unscathed. =_=
If you are unwilling to have a character killed off, avoid putting them in a life-threatening situation! It’s Common Sense!
Of course it is your choice if your character dies or not, but please, I beg you, I tell you, I’m practically swearing you to oath that you won’t play fantasy here. Save that for babbydevil’s subforum. Thank You. ~Mod of Street Wars A_Lost_Hope

Sitting behind his desk in an old abandoned warehouse that he had decided to make the new headquarters, Damian Callahan looked over a map of parts of the city that were drowned in conflict. Meanwhile, he was cleaning one of his automatic pistols. Looking at the map intently, he concentrated on a small section that was about a two block radius. Thinking to himself that it would be a good vantage and strategic point to have control of, he began to wonder who he should send to take it.

Finishing the cleaning, he decided on a few guys he knew that could get the job done. Picking up one of the elongated clips, he rammed it in and cocked the gun. He had always enjoyed the sound of a gun cocking and getting ready to fire. Looking down the barrel and satisfied with himself, he applied the safety and put it down on the deck. Picking up the other pistol that was exactly alike, he removed the clip and proceeded to take the gun apart for cleaning.

Kira spotted Damien working at a desk with his guns. Typical. The girl drew her knife, sneaking around until she was only a good two meters from where her brother sat, hopefully oblivious. Just as she was about to lunge, and scare the wits out of Damien, Kira's foot hit an empty soda can, which ricocheted from her foot to a pile of scrap metal. If he hadn't known she was there before, he did now, with the sounds of clashing metal echoing through the building. Figures. She muttered, getting out of sight.
