Summer workouts! My coach gave out our daily running schedule but after 1 week of summer... >_>....heh. Haven't ran.

It's because I have no motivation. Anyone have tips on how to get moving again?

I concur blaugh

I also think about how it doesn't matter what i do, everyone else will be training, and it'd be pretty embarrassing to be the only one who totally sucks the first day. And for us, that puts us in running groups, that if you don't DRASTICALLY improve, you pretty much in them for the whole season eek

I was paging through my roomates copy of Glamour or Cosmo (hey, I just HAD to find out how to achieve the best orgasm possible...because it's not like they don't reuse their sex tips hardcore)--anyway, I was paging though and saw a Nike ad with a dog on a sidewalk and a little card "taped" on saying

If you think you'll have more time to run tomorrow, remember, you said that yesterday.

I ripped that out and put it on my bulletin board. I see it everyday, and although I don't run EVERY day, it reminds me to get out there more often.

I have no problem for motivation.
I actually help my friends out with that problem.

I actually look back on my past, I remember the bad races I've had and the way I felt afterwards. How I had let my team down, myself down, my coaches, friends and family down. How I just wanted to hide away and walk home instead of taking the bus.

And I tell myself that If I work harder then I won't have to let people down like that.

Also I would love to be an Olympian so thats always in the back of my head whether it's possible or not.

One of my favorite quotes of all time is,

"Shoot for the moon, even if you miss you will land among the stars" - Les Brown.

And also I had a huge improvement between HS and college. And now I feel Like I have a chance to make it to the olympic trials in 2012! Although still slim and the actual olympics are still a way off from my potential but I going to keep gunning for it. I don't know what year you are, but who knows you might have a break out year soon and drop large amounts of time.

Just keep training hard, keep your priorities straight, and keep shooting for the moon! smile
