You heard it right. Honestly, I'm thinking that Deidara is going to die. He's currently covered in his own blood and going to the extremes, while Sauce-gay is not even working up a sweat. As awful as that sounds, it's bound to happen. But most people believe this:
"Tobi will show his strength and beat the shiz outta Sasuke!"
This isn't very likely. All Tobi has done during this fight is scream 'sempai' at the top of his lungs and sob when he can't see Deidara in the thick of the battle. The only signifigant thing that he's done so far is bury the mines. Tobi cares for Deidara, yes, but has he ever truly helped Dei fight? No. If Tobi really cared for his beloved sempai, Deidara wouldn't be bloody and run ragged. There's also this theory:
"Tobi is Obito, and he'll reveal his Sharingan."
I've only got one response to this. If Tobi isn't Obito, what then? Next, we have...
"What of this big move Dei is planning? It'll kill Sasuke and he'll come out alive."
Again, not likely. Deidara's huge move is probably a last-ditch attempt to defeat Sasuke once and for all. Chances are that it will not only kill Sasuke, but Deidara as well. Even if Sasuke comes out of it all unscathed or severely injured, Deidara will have died trying to destroy him.
In conclusion, I'm thinking that these next few chapters of the Naruto manga spell the end for Deidara.

I agree with almsot everything you have said, But I dont think Deidara will die... I don't think Tobi will reveal his super strength, because I doubt he has one, I think he's just filling a spot/keeping a bed warm I do think tobi is obito, but his sharingan would be no match for Sasuke's even if he revealed it. Obito only has one, and both are from the Uchiha clan, Also Sasuke has probably used his alot more. And If Deidara does use a huge move, it will probably kill them all... But I think there will be an outside interfearance in the battle.

I had found a website that showed the next manga's pages with deidara supposedly dying in a big bang. He had a huge mouth on his chest and the next scene was big explosion. But that was all the pics that was shown. I hope he doesn't. It'd really suck. Killing Akatsuki one by one. crying If I can find it again I'll post the link. Can't remember how I came across it though. Now it ticks me off. Art is a bang all right. Had I read this before reading the latest chapter, I'd have to agree with R11-chan about an outside interference in the Deidara vs Sasuke battle.
However, I read it yesterday, if I'm not mistaken, at [Naruto Manga Returns].
As much as I hate to say this, I do believe Deidara will be dead in the next chapter; unless plot-no-jutsu doesn't make a proper interference, the battle will end there and Deidara will die, leaving Sasuke and Tobi in either that same state or severly injured. Sorry, I don't think it'll just be something like Sasuke hiding somewhere and live.
I doubt Tobi will make some intereference and show some awesome skill (or the Sharingan if he really is Tobi). If, say, he and Sasuke outlive the explosion by little, I believe the first thing he'd do would be screaming "Sempai" and upon realizing what would have happened I believe his biggest worry would be to retrieve Deidara's ring - if he found the arm at the time - and return to the hideout or at least get away from Sasuke as soon as possible.
Yes, because Tobi is carefree, not dumb.
Anyway as I said, it's hard for me to say Deidara will die but it's bound to happen some time to every other character, not just the ones we dislike. Characters always live as long as there's someone to remember them and why they were there in the first place.
Also, although one can feel sad and/or disappointed if Deidara dies, it's to note that it was probably his biggest wish to "go out with a bang, un".
Plus, we can always hunt down Kishi and ask why he "killed off" part of the Akatsuki already.
My two cents. :]
I might come back soon to complain about my own post and possibly change some things, but I guess it's just my general, badly written idea.

DEIDARA CAN'T DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'l cry!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude, Deidara is like at the top of the charts for fan polls. If Kishi kills him off after all hes been through with us, he's making a mistake.
It took me a while for me to forgive Sakura for killing Sasori. If Deidara dies because of SASUKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lets just say watch the news for random craters in detroit.

I'm just sating opinions based on what I read. Honsetly, I reverted to fangirl mode after reading the latest chapter and actually got very upset.
I really hope Deidara doesn't die, but aside from Kisame and Itachi he's the Akatsuki who's been around the most and basically the one with the most appearances. It's a wonder how he survived this long, although I'm pretty sure it's not for "fan service". Kishimoto has the story planned out, he's not just improvising as he goes.
In a lot of stories, characters that have grown to be loved are killed off when we least expect, so as I said, unless plot-no-jutsu doesn't make a proper interference, I doubt this event will be any different.
Then again, Kishi surprises us a lot. Just a few more days until we find out whatwill really happen.
Anyway, if I were you R11-chan, I'd "forgive" Sakura. I'd give Chiyo credit for what happened to Sasori. I'm not going to explain why or I'd start my rant of Sasori vs Chiyo & Sakura and well... Better not. ^^;.

I've heard that Deidara dies... first Sasori, and now Deidara! crying
I was hoping he would make it out of the explosion with some random art of his and was only mistakened dead [since that was the small case w/ Sasuke for a moment]....but still... crying

Did you know that Deidara was based on Okamoto Tarō and his arts?
His caly bomb's resemble the artist's works and his last explosion (himself) was shaped like the Tower of the Sun.
Apparently even their motto ("Art is a bang"/Geijutsu wa bakuhatsu da) is the same.
Yes, my source was wikipedia. :3
