So I've vented/grumbled about this to some of you lately, but for the rest of you...
Fatfat came back online recently. Not gaia, but online. She's 16 these days, and DAMN, for the record. Not important, but... DAAAAAAAMN.
So. I've been bullshitting with her. It's been getting more and more serious and less stupid flirting. Finally cut to the chase. I like her. I've been falling for her since she got back on. She apparently likes me too, the poor, misguided soul. Age is an issue, however, as is my current status as quite taken.
We're thinking of meeting up in a couple years once she's legal, and seeing where things go from there, but in the meantime, just going on with our lives.
Good denizens of forum 92, how ******** stupid am I?

Hey, my girlfriend turned 18 last November... We'd been acquaintances and been talking before then, but something clicked around New Years and it was like, "why not?" I'm 24, will be turning 25. She'll be turning 19.
I wasn't trying to be sketchy.
She's in college by the way, having skipped a grade.
So no, not stupid...
But yeah... kind of taboo until she's legal.

At any rate it doesn't matter~ It's tedious as is finding someone to care about you, worrying about what is and isn't appropriate in love just muddles it up and makes it that much more impossible.

You definitely look older for your age.
I guess the one thing I would say is this:
I agree with Sewage totally, but while keeping that in mind it's important not to rush things.
Edith is very smart, mature and sensible for her age... but physiologically, mentally and socially I have to realize she's still growing into her own person.
I'm all for it. I'm all for empowering her on many different levels. I just don't want her to get lost in who I am and forget to live her life on her own terms.
Because in the big picture, her being independent, being able to bring her unique point of view to the table and not being desperately stuck in a clingy relationship with me is a lot more sexy.

Balance. It's like the intermediate level between ******** someone and growing old and/or building a life together.

Zengen: Christ, 25. You CANNOT IMAGINE how ******** horrific that sounds to me right now. It feels like last week that I was 18 and failing out of college. ******** four years later now, and while I'm finally starting to put my life together, it's still scary to think how much time's passed. That's honestly why I'm cool with this: Two years seems like ********' nothing.
Now that I'm done shitting myself over ooky-sounding numbers...
