When: Now. After Ai's been a teen for a while
Why: just fun
Talagand returned to headquarters after a quick flight home to check in on everyone to see what the status was. He had been missed, which made him feel both warm & guilty. He had been asked again why he simply did not invite the seraphim he had been with since she was an egg home with him, if she had no family or caretaker & again he had no answer for them.
Maybe you're afraid to share her, harper-boy? The pastel male smiled to himself. That was probably very close to the truth. Well... perhaps he would bring it up today. Aiko could always say no.
"Aiko!" He called merrily, her name flowing musically from his maw. "I'm back!"

No sooner had her name been called, when a little pink and white form zipped down from the rafters and sped like a torpedo at Talagand. Fully intending to slam into him and latch on in a playful manner, even if it sent the both of them rolling.
Forepaws were wrapped tightly around Talagand's neck and she snuggled against him. "Tata! You're back! I missed you!" Her little childhood pet name for him had stuck, and she seemed to prefer calling him that. Tails wagged happily and her three pairs of wings flapped eagerly. Talagand was everything to the little Seraphim and there was rarely a moment that she could stand to be seperated from him.

He fell at her weight. Playfully, because he had half expected it. She was his joy, the reason he was seldom 'home' anymore. Of course home for Talagand had come to mean where ever Aiko was.
They fell until just before the ground. Then Talagand furled his multiple wings like sails, caught hold of the air around them and pushed them both back up away from the ground. He licked at a paw dangling near his maw with a smile, taking his friend back up into the rafters then playfully flipping her off his back and onto the magical 'nest' AearHwesta had attatched up here so long ago. The sailor was not using it, and Tal was sure his 'uncle' would not mind. "Missed me, did you? Well I missed you, Aiko."

Giggles filled the air at the lick of her paw and being flipped into the 'nest'. Her head popping up right away, ears standing tall. Blue eyes shinging brightly with her joy and enthusiasm. She seemed to be full of boundless energy.
"So where did you go? What did you do? Huh? Tell me!" she pleaded, wanting to know what kind of adventures her dear Tata had been on. The Seraphim flopped on her stomach, as if awaiting story time. Surely Talagand must have seen all kinds of things that Aiko had never seen before. She'd never left the area around the Realm HQ before.

"I went to see my family, little love." Talagand loved using her name's meaning from time to time. Okay, lots of the time. He adored the tongue in cheek affection of it.
Laughing he spun a tale with word & music to tell her about everything that had transpired with his family since the last time he had visited. It turned epic, that way... dancing upon the cadence of his voice. He could never deny her 'story time' face. "Maybe next time you'd like to come with me? I know they'll adore you."

Soft laughter, almost like music in itself, came from the little pink one. She took a simply joy in his using her name's meaning as well.
Eyes lit up as he told her about his family, the young seraphim seeming entranced by the older's tales. Blue eyes going round and wide as he suggested that she come with him next time. "Could I really? I would love to meet them!" She sprang to her paws, hopping about before settling down again. "When could we go?" Aiko hardly being able to contain her excitement at the thought of meeting Talagand's family.

Was it any wonder why he adored her? Talagand laughed freely. "Why, anytime you would like. Perhaps not today, as I just returned and believe it or not my wings are a little tired, but perhaps tomorrow?"

"Okay!" That answer seemed to have satisfied her. Aiko flopped into the nest on her side, "Maybe if I sleep.. tomorrow will come faster!" She flopped her head down, but soon lifted it up again, "But I'm just too excited to sleep!" she said with another giggle. Her six wings lifting her into the air to hover infront of Talagand and do a barrel roll.
She couldn't wait to meet his family, of which was huge from what she gathered. There would be so many for her to play with! Despite Aiko's growing age, she seemed to be a kit at heart. Very naive and innocent.

He snickered as she 'went to sleep' not expecting it would work for a second. And he was right.
Laughing Talagand leaned forward and kissed her nose as she came out of the barrel roll. "Then we'll have to make you tired enough to overwhelm your exhaustion and sleep, won't we my little love?" With that the older teen grinned and set into tickling Aiko unmercifully.

A merry little giggle escaped her as she was kissed on the nose. Wiggling said nose a bit and looking at it cross-eyed. Her ears perked at what he said next.
"But ho-?" and her questions was abruptly cut off with ceaseless laughter as Talagand started tickling her mercilessly. She dropped into the nest, appendages flailing from the tickling and loud laughter echoing through the room. "TA TA!" she laughed, "STOOOOP!" and more laughter. Tears springing to the corner of her eyes from the intensity of her laughing fit. She is so incredibly ticklish!

He cut back a little, enough to let Aiko catch her breath. "But I thought you wanted to be tired enough to sleep, my little love." Talagand teased lightly, tickling with care just enough to keep her giggling.

Her laughter was subdued to giggles, bright blue eyes looking up at him as she squirmed from the light tickling. "That's not what I meant, silly Tata" she said. Paws batting playfully up at Talagand as her giggles continued. "I'll sleep if you sleep...kay?"

"It's not?" He said, quirking his head with purposefully feigned innocence. The pastel male made playful faces as she batted at him, fluffing his wings out for fun. Talagand already knew where his heart lay... but he would make no advancement until she saw him in that light. If Aiko ever did. "And I'll sleep if you sleep, Aiko. But you're not tired yet... how would you like to pick a game?"

Again she giggled and batted at him, Aiko's ears perking as he mentioned playing a game. "A game? I like games!" she squealed happily, jumping up to her paws and lifting one to touch her chin thoughtfully. But which game should they play? "How about tag?" she asked with a tilt of her head.
As far as Aiko seeing Talagand in a... different light, they may or may not come... but certainly not now. She was far too naive to even think of such things at this time in her life.

He grinned, violet eyes laughing and showing nothing other than a plutonic fondness for the seraph he had taken under his wing since finding her egg. Lifting a pale blue paw he tapped her darling tilted head, shouted 'Tag!' and took off flying.
