This is a thread about Violet UK.

Biography
Yoshiki, ex-X Japan drummer and pianist, has been working on this project for over 10 years.
The name "Violet UK" came from the idea that when you mix colors you'll end up with violet. Indeed there are many different music genres combined. At the core of the Violet UK project is the music. It blends digital drum-loops, a touch of classical piano and strings and noise guitar. Female vocalists finish off this radical new sound.
Yoshiki added the UK to the name because all the lyrics are in English. The album should have been out in year 2002 (it was postponed from year 2002 to 2003) and it was planned to be a world wide release, but it got postponed again and a release date has yet to be determined.
The world had it's first glance at Violet UK on December 3rd and 4th 2002, when Yoshiki gave a concert in Tokyo presenting a journey through his musical works from the past to the future previewing Violet UK.
Some of the songs from Violet UK were used in the 7-Eleven commercials when 7-Eleven Japan asked Yoshiki to produce a series of TV commercials incorporating Violet UK into their corporate image for the new millennium.
Violet UK released new single on iTunes Japan 22 IX 2005. It includes one song: Sex & Religion (test mix).
Rumor has it that Yoshiki has finished all the recording for the album and is now working hard to finish mixing everything. If this is true, this coincides with the rumor that April 2006 will be Violet UK's tour month; the album should be released shortly before the tour
