Whats Your Favorite Manga author?? there are so many good ones out there! The ones that i love with a passion would be Kaori Yuki (the one that made Angel Sanctuary and The cain sage/godchild) i still havent been able to keep on reading angel sanctuary but i have read many of her works. they are awesome!
I also like Yuu Watase those are my two main faves =D and then i like kishimoto (Naruto) and the guy that does Bleach (i forgot his name >.<) those are exelent manga artists. anyone want to name their fave?

EDIT: I like basically all the artists in the Nakayoshi, Ciao, Ribon, and Betsucomi, Hana to Yume, and Lala magazines.

Haruka Minami is definitely one of my favorite mangaka.
Her art is so pretty and she tends to do happy stories with little to no angst...Give or take a few. ^^;;

CLAMP for sure ^^; though I have many others. Most recently, i've been adoring Takeshi Obata's work. It was gorgeous in Hikaru no Go and it was gorgeous in Deathnote. I need to hunt down some of his other works. Ken Akamatsu is another favorite too...even if his art is slightly more pervy =P

I really don't have many recurring authors in my collection. I love CLAMP, though. For ones that I only have one of, I really like Bisco Hatori Emura, Yayoi Ogawa, Sanami Matoh, Maki Murakami, and Kentaro Yabuki.

I love love love Hiromu Arakawa. This will sound biased because FMA is my favorite series, but she really is amazing. Her character designs are unique-- there aren't any confusing look-alikes throughout the series, everyone has their own look. Her characters are so in-depth and real, it's like I know them. I love everything she's done with Fullmetal, and as soon as she starts up another series I will snatch that right up.
I like CLAMP, too, but they're hit and miss with me. Like, I love Cardcaptor Sakura and Chobits, but I just couldn't get into X/1999 or Clover. And Tsubasa is kind of eh, (I'm sorry!) but I still collect it out of my old love for CCS and my new love or Kurogane and Fai (Fae, Fay, whatever).

Her art is so pretty and she tends to do happy stories with little to no angst...Give or take a few. ^^;; i think i have read a lot of her work but i am not sure >.> Is she the one who writes some Yaoi mangas and stuff? because if she is then i know her stuff is cute. I also like Minase Masara i REALLY llike her stuff. i love her art style. So many awesome Mangaka right?! People are so talented it makes me sad i cant draw to save my life >.<

xMarjoriex So many awesome Mangaka right?! People are so talented it makes me sad i cant draw to save my life >.< I know! But some mangaka just write, like the creator of Hikaru no Go, or Death Note. And both have an excellent story and excellent and detailed art, even on a weekly deadline. I probably helps to split the work like that.

My all time fav would be Yukiru Sugisaki.
I just absolutely LOVE her art and the characters she comes up with. I also like the way she puts her stories together. It's like she can take any overdone storyline and give it life again. In my mind-- That's just awesome and no other manga-ka even comes close to that. Not even CLAMP.
So yeah...there's my blurb on my favorite manga-ka. xd ;

I probably helps to split the work like that. yea most likely. the characters were do good in deathnote and i loved it so much i wish it would continue!!!! crying BUT NO0oo0o0o L and Light just had to go and freaking you know what v.v a lot of people like Clamp. i have read the first tsubasa volume and the first legal drug volume i think the art is pretty ok. i just wish i could read more v.v people that lend me those volumes didnt buy the rest or they cant find them and now that i am moving i probably wont read the mangas unless i buy them v.v
