Pan's Labyrinth Was, Don't Get Me Wrong, A Wonderful Movie. But It Is A One Time Trip, Once You've Seen It, It Never Has The Same Effect, It's Boring. Have You Seen It And Do You Feel The Same?

I liked it a second time around for the beautiful way it was put together. For a film with so few computer graphics they did an insanely good job of making the magical world seem real. But you're right, the plot does not lend itself to too many viewings.

I Agree With You, Of Course I Loved The Faun, And The Ending Was Completely Wonderful. But When I Watched It With Friends They Were Lost, They Couldn't Read As Fast As The Subtitles Were Going. So We Had To Shut It Off :[

Pan's Labyrinth has actually become my favorite movie, though like your friends DigitalPoison, none of my friends can read the subtitles quickly enough to understand it. The plot to me was excellent, but what really got me was the message it was sending (Innocence has a power evil cannot imagine). The characters were wonderful (I loved the faun ^^ ). I enjoyed it because, unlike recent movies, it made you think. It reminded my slightly of V for Vendetta really.

I Absolutely Love That Movie, Now THAT Is A Message Right There. But After Watching Pan's Labyrinth, I Got Thinking About Magic, And If There Really May Be Or Have Been A Strong Magical Essence In This World. Stranger Things Happen.

DigitalPoison God V for Vendetta Gives Me Goosebumps. I Absolutely Love That Movie, Now THAT Is A Message Right There. But After Watching Pan's Labyrinth, I Got Thinking About Magic, And If There Really May Be Or Have Been A Strong Magical Essence In This World. Stranger Things Happen. It seems everyone likes V for Vendetta... I have never seen it... I don't need movies to get me thinking a certain way. In fact, I rarely watch any movies at all these days.
I have never seen Pan's Labyrinth either, and I don't intend to. I have no interest in it.
As for Magic... Magic is very real and it is very strong. It has always existed in this world and always will.
I, myself, do not believe that magic has to do with Satan. People assume that anything unnatural or odd is Satanic. Homosexuality and Bisexuality are some others of those. It is ignorance like that that makes us Christians look bad. Too bad I'm a Christian that is outspoken by the richy rich Christians who have their own tv shows and b.s.
One thing I may never understand: How can Atheists believe in the supernatural but not God, and my fellow Christians believe in God but not the supernatural?
If you ask me, they go hand in hand, with magic, and all of the other mysteries in this world that we can never hope to solve in this life. We must wait for the next. Our physical minds are more like prisons than anything else. We are limited and our thoughts are trapped. They can only go so far. It saddens me sometimes, but alas, there is nothing we can do.

Why, if I may ask, do you have no intention of watching some movies that truely are great for what they are Scarlet?

Because I like doing other things. Movies and television are simply not to my liking. If there's a good movie, I commend it. But I don't go out of my way to watch them.

Movies Are A Fun Way To Spend An Evening With Family Or Friends, Or Both. Sometimes I Get Together With A Group Of My Friends And We All Watch Movies Together. Once It Turned Out To Be This Real Kinky Cheap Porno. That Was Some Night. A Lot Of Fun Though, It Can Turn Into A Really Great Time, I Suggest You Renting Hmm... I Think A Comedy For You, So Perhaps Music & Lyrics, Or You Me & Dupree. Both Funny [But I Have An Odd Sense Of Humor]. Then You Should Invite Some Friends Over To Wind Down And Have Some Fun.

Most comedies these days are stupid. I believe I have seen You Me & Dupree and I didn't really like it. *Shrugs* I'm just not a movie person. I'm going to go sit in the theater to see the fifth harry pothead movie, but that's only because it's a special thing my family does. And I have a bit of interest to see what happens.

It Makes Me Wonder Though, Why Does The Only Movie That Has Fun Magical Elements In It Have To Be Harry Potter? I LOVE The Books, Alot, And The Movies Arn't To Bad Either, But I Also Want Mature Films With Dragons, And Unicorns, And All That Fun Stuff. You Know.

Maybe one day, when my work is published, they will make movies about them. The Lord of the Rings movies are pretty good if I say so myself. I haven't watched them in a while...a while. Maybe I should...hmm...
I wouldn't mind seeing a movie about a pink unicorn myself wink heart 3nodding
Now THAT would be different and probably get me to go and see a movie.

Your Writing Is Awesome, So Descriptive, They Would Make Awesome Movies. On The Note Of Magic And Such, Have You Heard Of The Alosha Series By Christopher Pike? I Highly Recommend This Book. It's 3 Adult Books, And It Stars A Girl, Her Three Friends, A Leprechaun And A Troll x]. I LOVED It. I've Only Read The First One, Titled Alosha. But There Are Three. I Think You Would Really Love It.
