whats the whole point of using the Action Replay?
I understand using it once or twice,
but all the time?
Doesn't that like ruin the purpose of the game?
Making your party stats MAXED out, with on hit, not even super effective, kill you.
Or something that cannot hit you, but instantly kill you?
In my mind, thats CHEATING, and ruins the game.
Gotta catch them all right?
Your not, you're CHEATING.
Once or twice is good, but 2 darkrai's shiny? and moves that you can't see, but can knock you out completely?
A fellow guild member here, used two darkrai.
and everything was shiny.
He used pursuit on my empoleon, and i didn't see the move and my HP suddendly disappeared.
and he quoted, "I didn't cheat, I used my AR."
...so yeah.
What do you all think about this?

My brother and I ended up getting one, but we agreed to only use it for good. How? Well, for starter's, we've agreed to only use it to catch Pokemon we won't be able to get normally, and ONLY one of them. We've agreed to train them until they can level no more. And, we've agreed to only catch the event pokemon with it if we can't get the items though the Mystery Gift Wi-Fi. So, even though we have the power to max out our Pokemon, we are not because we know how boring that'd be in a match. So, my opinion on the AR is neutral. Some people want to ruin their fun in the game by doing that, others still want to have the fun of training Pokemon like they should be trained.

Well I have both P/D so I only cheat on Pearl but yes I agree I get pokes I cant on my Diamond 3nodding
But on my pear i dont get tyered of cheating xd

finally i agree with you cause in gold and silver my cousin used master balls all the time he offered some but i said no that would get rid of all the fun........in other words cheating just isnt fun unless its like event pokemon

On topic, I would say it does defeat the whole purpose of the game. I once battled a noob and he was all like, "OMG You suck! I win! All my level 100 shinies kick your a**!" I was like, "You hacked, dumbass." See? It is no fun playing people if you are just going to cheat your way though it.

me and my brother were considering using one, but apparently nintendo was planning on scanning D/P addess on wifi and restricting any carts with the AR codes in them.
so we aren't sure besides we'd only use it to get the guys, not level 100 shiny with 30000 in every stat, well we'd do that too, but only to beat spinkle and justin with.

i actually quit the battle because i was pissed.
dude had his stats maxed.
and everything!
I guess AR can be both a good and bad thing.

Hacking is fine with me as long as it doesn't ruin it for others.
With online play, I don't like the idea of trading hacked pokemon...
Keeping hacked ones however...I made a thread in a Q&A about questioning getting a shiny charmander I hacked onto my Diamond game....and the votes counted that it WAS fine.
Hacked stats is plain bad...unless you are keeping the pokemon...
hacking for pokemon I can't get? Heck I did it for mew, celebi, jirachi, and deoxys. (And then toys'r'us announced their event two days later)
So...I'm fine with hacking as long as it doesn't involve other people battling or trading them...you hacked for it, you're responsible for it.

I really don't like hacking and only used a game shark once on Yellow just to get coins at the game corner to buy a porygon. I don't really see a purpose to AR. I don't mind hacking for rare pokemon, but I'm too stubborn to. If you have to use an AR because you still haven't figured out train a pokemon properly, why did you get the game?

I play Battle Revolution, and I've resorted not to playing online with anyone but friends, because I've yet to fight someone that didn't use an all-uber team. It's time they fix s**t like that. It ruins the fun for everyone else (especially on WiFi).
