So as we all know zombie bites are infected. If one gets bitten they will turn into a zombie. So, it is important to protect yourself from bites. Now how does one do this? So everyone, what clothing combination would you use to protect yourself from bites? How would it combine protection with comfort and flexibilty? And if you suggest military/police grade things like kevlar body armour, how would you obtain it?

Body armor is next to useless, because most bites occur on the appendages.
The best kind of armor would be tight fitting, but comfortable clothes, and short hair.

american fot baal gear (not soccer) comfort, good tackeling with the hard equipment, hand a helmet which u cant bite thrue. the arms are a factor but if u put on some gloves and some wrist pretection like a pipe or something i thing it will go cinda fine. tis hard getting things in a back pack but its a good armor if u going short trips around the hq for food or something. its also eazy to get hands on chose in schools and house's is sometimes good points to get it. or else the best thing is too have another person and just throw it away and they'l hunt him instead. (like an inmate or something)

Max Brooks, as the second post mentioned, recommended tight, comfortable clothing and close cropped hair. However, he also said that shark suit armor could have positive effects during underwater eliminations, and possible during regular-post zombie invasion life if used correctly.

The problem with "Tight fitting clothes" is it's too vague. what clothes would you wear specifically?

elvellon The problem with "Tight fitting clothes" is it's too vague. what clothes would you wear specifically? Jeans, t shirt, boots? Close fitting muscle shirt, jeans, sneakers? Anything within reasonable parameters.

I'd probably go with a leather jacket (or 2) and 2 pairs of jeans. oh, and boots. Socks too. Possibly a hardhat that doesn't obstruct vision or my ability to aim. No gloves, though. I doubt I could find gloves that do much to prevent zombie bites. I would also wear plastic shin pads, elbow pads, and knee pads. If I fall I don't want any tasks I do to be obstructed by small injures. And finally, I would duck tape the ensemble together to prevent any part of it from coming loose.
I cant bite through that, so I'm pretty confident there's a few zombies that can't either.

One usually overlooked factor in choosing armor is the heat. If the armor is hot you will become dehydrated and also you will stink. This can be really bad if you are trying to escape a group of zombies, only to find hours later that they tracked you by your smell.

I woudnt want to wear any armor either. I am currently putting together a light-weight stealth suit, i think it would be best for mobility, stealth, also agility during combat (more economical than your run of the mill chain mail diving suit).
