Deku Castle

In the center of town, there is a large castle. Most of it is made of stone, however, it is covered in sticks and leaves for decoration.

The Deku King loves to hear music, and often would go wild to hear good tunes. He is very rich, and pays musicians lots of money.

However, only native Deku citizens and friends of other races may enter. Guests that are personally invited by Deku citizens, and are trusted and deemed worthy by the King may enter.

The trio, along with two other annoying creatures, a stupid floating purple ball of stupid, and a bratty prince of a rich and prosperous kingdom of wooden creatures, approached the front gate. Two large piles of leaves were located at the front door.

"Ugh..." Max grunted as they walked closer, trailing a little behind due to the weight of the Capoi on his back. "I want to drop this kid off. I hope they let us in..."

Before anyone could respond, they were standing in front of the gate, and the two piles of multi-colored leaves sprang up faster than one could possibly imagine, and revealed two Deku Scrub guards. "Halt!" Bellowed the first one. "No one passes through here today. The King is in a deep depression, for his son, the Graceful and Pure Prince, Capoi, has been captured by a giant demonic bird from the Deku Dungeon! You must leave this place, travellers..."

Max dropped the unconscience Capoi out in front of him, and the guards gasped. "Capoi?!" The second guard yelled joyfully. "Oh, thank the Godesses!" He looked to the smile with a wide grin, and then glared at Max. "What have you done to him, you despicable cretin!?"

"Shut up." Max groaned. "All we want to do is return the Prince. We found him in the Deku Dungeon. My friend was kidnapped in there, too. By a giant bird you said, am I right?" He said. "Now, do us a favor, and let us in?"

"I'm terribly sorry, good sir. Please, step inside. However, please go directly into the main chamber of the King. Refrain from going elsewhere. Take care of Capoi!" They nodded, slipping back into their leafy hideaways, allowing passage into the palace.

"Well... Shall we go inside?"

"Of course we should go inside" Justin said. He nodded to the Deku guards and stepped in between them into the palace. It wasn't too bad looking, although it was made of mostly stone it had a nice decor of different colored flowers and leaves. The appearance of the palace wasn't the only surprising thing, there seemed to be music playing, a kind of rustling and drum beat. The strange thing was that it wasn't clear where the music was coming from, it seemed to come from everywhere as if the flowers around the palace were making it.

"Not a bad place" He grinned and headed toward the King's chamber.

As they walked past a number of rooms, they came to the Deku King's Throne Room. It was a huge room with several high-placed flames, a bonfire in the center of the area, and a throne at the front. Max slowly approached the King's throne. But before he could, as he was about to set down Capoi, a loud rustling of leaves was growing louder and louder exponentially.

Suddenly, several Deku Guards swarmed around him in a frantic rush, pulling the Deku Prince off of Max's back and carrying him to the king. Max was left on the ground, coughing up dust. "How friendly..." He muttered sarcastically. But as he was getting up, the same Deku Guards from before lifted him up, as well, and carried him over as well, and stepped him down in front of the King, who had awakened Capoi in the short time that Max and company didn't see him.

"Young lad!"

Max looked up at the booming voice that just called out to him. "H-huh?" He stuttered nervously at the wooden marvel before him. It was a giant, slightly plump king, with a serious look on his face, which honestly, Max was a bit frightened of. "Y-yes?"

"Are you the one who has saved my son, Capoi?" His voice boomed, even though he was talking calmly. His serious expression still did not change.

"Erm, y-yes, sir. We found him in the Deku Dungeon not too far from here. Our friend Cole was taken there by a giant bird, we killed it, and we found your---"

Suddenly, the Deku King gave a huge grin, jumped off his throne, and gave Max a big hug. "O Great Warrior, thank you for rescuing my son! You are welcome here whenever you please!" He put his long, twig-like arm around Max's shoulder. "Come, come, young one. What is your name?"

"I-it's, uh, Maximilian Klaus, sir. You can just call me Max, though. You're very welcome, by the way." Max gave a weak grin, still baffled by the Deku King's change of mood from a sullen royal figure to a joyous, fatherly figure in such a short time.

"Well, Sir Maximilian, as you may have realized, I am the Deku King. I have many riches at my disposal - I am very willing to share them with one such as you!"

"Well, thank you, sire, but, my friends Cole and Justin also helped me..." Max nodded nervously. "They're back there... The Deku Guards only picked up me."

"I see!" The Deku King nodded, grinning. He motioned his hand for the Deku Guards to fetch the remaining travellers, and in a flash, they were gone, and picked up Justin and Cole, bringing them to the throne with Max. "Willing to share the fortune with your friends? I like you, Sir Maximilian! Please, here!" The king reached into his wallet bag and pulled out 200 Rupees, giving 100 to Max and 50 to Cole and Justin. "Now, come, come, Sir Maximilian..." He nodded at Max, then pointed at Cole. "Justin... And..." He looked at Justin. "Cole?" He gave a slightly confused look. "Or is it the other way around?"

"It's the other way around, sir. Thank you very much for the Rupees, but we must be on our way..." Max sighed. He didn't want to leave a kingdom where they were recognized as national heroes, but he wanted to head out to Castle Town to prepare for something else.

"Oh, must you? Well, Sir Maximilian and his young friends... You may come back any time you like! Please, allow my guards to escort you outside." He snapped his wooden fingers, and in a brief moment, two guards arrived at the scene. "Come, sirs, allow me to escort you to the front door."

When they got to the exit, Max turned to Justin and Cole. "Well... Uh. Castle Town it is?"

Cole had just stayed silent throughout the throne room ordeal. Lucky enough Capoi didn't wake up and get angry at Cole for landing on him and stealing the Deku Leaf. And Cole couldn't reveal that he had it or the Dekus might get angrier. Well... when he was handed fifty rupees, he bowed and smiled as he looked at the King. Once they had exited the Palace, Max had asked a question. " Um... sure. " Cole said in an unsure response.

"Yeah, let's go" Justin waved to the guards and started walking when he realized something, he looked back quickly and whispered to Cole. "Those Deku didn't even realize that you stole their thingy" He pointed to the leaf inconspicuously without alerting the Deku guards.
