So...
I've got a lump on my rib. My family has a history of cancer, especially bone cancer. When I inhale deeply, my left lung burns a little.
I hope it's just a bruise or something, I don't want to die before I'm 20.

Doubt it's Cancer. You say you are having trouble breathing? It would be Lung Cancer, not a Bone Tumor. These would be the symptoms for Lung Cancer.
Wheezing, persistent cough for months; blood-streaked sputum; persistent ache in chest; congestion in lungs; enlarged lymph nodes in the neck

And, if the tumor also extends into my rib cage, it could constrict my lung.

spidrmanny yea, u should probly see a doc. My doctor won't see me, and the guy at the emergency room pretty much said "I don't know what it is, so I don't care. You need to go home."

Aw, jeez, that must suck. And as for the doctors, bludgeon them, I say - bludgeon them with an iron hammer!
Any way of telling them that you're worried of it being cancer? They might actually listen...and if not, then the hammer offer stills stands.

I want to be a doctor when I grow up. A good doctor. Anyway, if it's cancer, you would be weak, enlarged lymph nodes. See, in cancer, the mitosis suppressor gene is turned off and the apoptosis gene in the mitochondria is turned off, so cells divide rapidly.
Find a doctor that will look at you. Thats not if you're too ugly biggrin (just kidding)

Well, on the bright side... letting yourself think you will have cancer will let you savour life a bit more. Living-each-day-like-your-last sort of thing. And all is well if it turns out you're fine. smile

Live your days to the best to your ability just in case..=/ But try to get a doctor's diagnostics just in case..
Hope it's not what it seems like.
