A few months ago, I wrote a poem for my father. I posted it in a journal, but I'd like to post it here and have people tell me how to improve. I'm not good at poetry, but I think it turned out great, saying what I wanted it to.
I'm crying now,
So hard my body shakes.
How can you treat me like that?
I feel like a disgrace.
You treated me like dirt,
You never said you were proud of me,
You hurt me like no other,
I lost my will to be.
I'll show you what I can do,
I won't be distain,
Now I'm here all alone,
Hiding my true pain.

It was pretty good, show nice emotion. I am not sure if most people realize this, but having second and fourth line rhyme together actually create a more of a melody that one can sing to. It lets you build up that passion to say everything, and simmer down to finish with what you started. I think the poem itself is kind of nifty and you didn't use all plain words.
Secondly though, lol I haven't really finished this section so it probably won't be getting much attention besides me and you, and well I am hoping to have people post their poems in threads instead of the announcements so that they are easily found and have comments lined up after them. Don't worry though, it isn't a big problem or anything, and I should of stated it up in the announcement but I haven't had time to work on this place as I'd like to.
I was thinking though, since you made suggestions about this place anyway, would you like to man up this side of the forum? (you'll be promoted to crew so you can mod it).Handle all the stories/poems? Create the contests and other things, and if you're giving out prizes I have a decent sized check book to work with so we can give out a few gold prizes here and there. Well anyways it was just a thought.

Hellooo all~! My name's Kiki or Tay, the new mod and advisor for this thread. I've posted directory's for main categories for your wonderful writing, and some final touches are always being made. I hope you'll enjoy all of the new features that are being added, so be sure to look at them, maybe add some stories, etc.
So mainly this forumn is for you to post your stories and poerty so enjoy! If you have any questions and such, feel free to contact me in anyway. ^^
I will also move any threads that are suited to be here form other threads to here AND governing what content goes around. And moving threads out as well. So... remember your stalker.. no.. just kidding.. but still. xD

ALRIGHT! For some who have been looking through the thread, I just have some minor news.
All directories have been moved into one thread only, so it is much easier instead of having to go to seperate threads. keep the forum more clean as well. ALSO! There is an information board for all of your Q&A about how to post certain things, or maybe something else. Hope these final changes are suited better! @.@
