So I just pinched a nerve at Guard Practice yesterday and my hands, arms, legs, and chin are extremely sore. But, damnit, I will master that cursed rifle and saber! scream

rifle killed my hands the first season... last fall and last winter... oops, that's two seasons...
Anyway, the point is that it gets better and I don't hurt myself as much now. Definately not to the extent of Leti. So don't worry, You'll learn through blood, sweat, and tears how to handle a weapon and then you'll figure out how to do it so it doesn't hurt you...
If you start to consistantly bruse the same part of your hand change how you toss or eventually the bruses build up and you'll lose your hand... Trust me! For the last winter guard competition my left hand was all purple and catching anything was extremely hard... It took 2-3weeks to go away...
Oh, the memories...
I just can't wait to start cutting myself when I catch the saber wrong. xp

I'm just sore and I have a few cuts, somehow since I don't do rifle nor saber...you people won't even let me touch it -.-
Durring the last practice I hit my lower lip with the crutch tip and I have hit my head doing the horizontal... and hit my thumb that I thought I broke it and it was durring the...2nd practice to get recruited.

I actually gave myself a concussion during a game once. Lost my flag in the lights and it came down on my head before I could catch it. I didn't know it until I passed out later that night at a party. That was the worst in my opinion. But other than that I've cracked my collar bone, jammed every joint in my hands, and busted my lips open countless times. And then there are the bruises....
If you can't tell, I'm a bit of a klutz sweatdrop

Most of you know all the stuff I've done...and that was just with my falg....Can't wait to get started on the rifle and saber...For those of you who don't know.....AT LEAST4 concussions and 2 black eyes....Every night after practice I have a new breuse...right now I have 10 on my arms legs and torseo from guard.

I nearly broke my arm trying to catch a stray double one, in the end I manage to escape with only a severe bruise and a chick following me all the way to my car apologizing her head off...other then that I've only hit my head a few times and made myself cringe when the flag hit the floor or whatever

But that's cause we had 2 parades the week after school let out. Now it's only once a week, and usually inside. BUt we'll miss a few because our director is getting surgery. now band camp...THAT sucks.
