gonk Help. emo i've been stuck on this ONE LEVEL since I bought the game when it came out. gonk
in the GDI Campaign, where NOD has taken the hammerfest base and you have three hover MLRS craft, and an APC with 4 engineers. I've tried tactics including taking the first hidden radar, getting past the first giant nod laser thing ( gonk ), and taking one of the two small bases to create a small army. I've also traversed every river valley I could get to without taking fire.
Any assistance on this map would be appreciated. gonk Or point me to a walkthrough?
While we're on subject, Discuss: *Why the NOD campaign seemed TOO easy *Why Tiberium weeds seem to ruin skirmish games. *Why the Tick Tank just seemed useless unless supported by infantry/buggies, but the Titan was fine on it's own. *Why the hell couldn't I use a Dropship. Those were AWESOME. emo *Why, after all these years, it's still ******** AWESOME to watch Hassan get his throat cut. xd

I remember that level. Dx
I don't think I ever got past it either.
*Because the old dev team was secretly guided by Kane's light. *Because most of those fights seemed to take place in the soon-to-be red zones anyway. *Because it actually did pretty well at its job. Mixed unit tactics ftw! *Because FAIL. ;.; *Because he was the sacrificial lamb of TS. :]

Well, if you still had all of your units at the point where you can get the Hand of Nod at the bridge, kudos! Anyway, I know that the entrance to Hammerfest base is on the North edge of the map somewhere, and you head up farther into the edge, then you'll go West, then South a little and Hammerfest will light up when you get close enough. In fact, I think, to get up the cliff, you'll have to destroy a landslide. Anyway, the first thing you'd do is destroy everything that would pose a threat against your buildings, like the vehicles and infantry with your Hover MLRS. Use the 'Q-Walk' to play hit and run tactics, that way, the buggys will die while they try to follow your three Hover MLRS. After that's done, I'd recommend getting the Barracks and anything that'll get you some money, like the Ref, Silos, or something to sell. Afterward, spam Titans and Light Infantry and you should have no problem, save for low cash.
This would all also depend on your Difficulty setting.
*Because Nod was given a base from the beginning in the GDI campaign, so they send two or three units like Artillery or Bikes over and over, whereas GDI isn't very aggressive, since they're trying to preserve most areas. *Because GDI players like to tear their enemies apart with Titans and it never works because they die while Nod pumps Weed Eaters and unload Chemical Missles. *As Tenth Speed Writer says, mixed unit tactics was their purpose. *You can, just use FinalSun. XP *I agree with Tenth Speed Writer again, and because he was GDI spy!

DAMN HASSAN!
Also, I've never done that mission (Nod campaigner only xp ) But it sounds like if you could get a base started, keep at it until you have a massive army.

When Kane is killing Hassan, I find myself cheering along with the soldiers.

this is a very hard level, but you can pass it. there is no other way around the obelisk. you have to use all the of your hover mrls against it. youve got no choice. after you kill it, it just gets harder.
the base to the north a bit of the way will be very difficult to assault as there are 3 cyborg guarding it, and the obelisk shouldve killed 2 of your mrls (if you got lucky x_x)
my recommendation is to bypass all NOD units and head staight to the hammerfest base, where you should capture the power plants before nod turns on the power. then capture your cy and barracks. after that, its your choice and most things should go over to your side anyway onc you get the CY. -love the side triggers-
after that nod will assault the firestorm walls. the NOD base is to the west and SHOULD NOT BE ASSAULTED until your ready with a VERY large force. those ******** artys take a lot out of your men.
Don't worry. its doable. ive made it through that bloody ice maze of death with all my units before, i just don't remember how i did it. there is probably a hidden cliff somehwere round there...

Umm, Koru...There's a Power Plant or two before you get to the Obelisk. If you destroy them, you don't have to worry about it killing anything.

that level is hard, even though i've done it so many times. keep your hover mrls team close together and follow the river that leads along the right of the screen, you'l reach the top of the map and then go left. half way down the river is hamerfest! woopee salvation. building your army from here to eliminate Nod is what follows after that object.
oh yea and watching hassan get killed is always entertaining
(tib sun came out 8! years ago, wow you must be finding it hard xD keep trying, dont give up!)
