I'm just curious what you guys' taste is like in other musicses. Just like... list off some favorite bands and stuff so we can see if we can ramble together about something. razz
My favorite composer is Yoko Kanno, who you'll probably only know if you watch anime. Super talented writer, I tells ya. She really knows her way around different genres. Otherwise, my main favorites would be Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, and umm... probably a few others. razz Basically anything classic rock. I'm sorta okay with just about any genre, though.
RAMBLE! O___O

WTF are you talking about? I only listen to Queen, duh! razz I do listen to other stuff too, but don't tell anyone. The only other musician, or group other than Queen that I like is Weird Al. I like lots of other random songs too though. But I would say that only Weird Al gets anywhere near the same amount of love from me as Queen does. 3nodding Oh, and I tend to favor music from the 70's and 80's.

Oh man, Weird Al, that's some good stuff. razz I only got into him about a year ago (sadly), but ya really gotta appreciate that guy's talent. He and his band transcribe every song they parody themselves! And then on top of all the different styles they play, it's really, really great.
Oh, and I watched UHF the other day, it was pretty good. razz Got any particular favorites, songs or albums?

Well, of corse I like the classics such as ~ Amish Paradise, The Saga Begins, ( I think thats the name ), White and Nerdy, and more that I can't think of since my head is full of Queen right now. sweatdrop But his latest CD is awesome. And I love how it's also a dvd. Oh, and did I mention that I have two autographed pictures of him and a letter from him saying that I can call myself a Close Personal Friend of Al. blaugh

Hehe, that's cool, Ariel. xp And yeah, it is The Saga Begins, the Star Wars version of American Pie by Don McLean. Straight Outta Lynwood wasn't bad, but I didn't think it was as great as some of his other albums. I think my favorite is Running with Scissors, which coincidentally is the only album I have by him. But I have heard most of his stuff! razz
My my, such eclectic tastes, Torey-dear. xp Pretty much the only artist/band I know fairly well from that group is the Beatles, although I know a little bit from a few of the others (like Alice Cooper, Dean Martin, a little of Blink 182, and I listened to a Frank Sinatra album a while back razz ).
Man... Dixie. You never see anyone talk about that genre anymore. O__O

I know. I love my eclectic tastes. My friends, however, all rush to hit buttons on my stereo/in my truck when I put in a mixed CD... You'd think I didn't own it, the way they acted..
Dixie... totally. I hope to go to an Opera sometime soon again, in Italian rather than English. They're so much better in Italian. However, if they're subtitled above the stage, that becomes a big distraction.
The last one I went to was "The Marriage of Figaro" and it was subtitled. Distracting, but still one of the best operas I've ever seen. I'll shut up now. xd

I listen to... everything. Mostly rock and all its variants.
The Beatles, Guns N' Roses, U2, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Scissor Sisters, Mika, Utada Hikaru, Daisuke Ishiwatari (not really a professional musician, but the stuff he's written for Guilty Gear literally ROCKS! And he's a Queen fan too :'D). Nickelback and Fall Out Boy aren't too shabby either. Basically I just listen to anything that's out there O-o;

Whoa, the Guilty Gear composer was the LAST person I expected to see here! xd I didn't know he was a Queen fan, though. That's cool. razz I've only heard the music to Guilty Gear X, so I can't really say much about his stuff. Otherwise, Utada Hikaru isn't bad, from what I've heard. I like her Sakura Drops song. razz
Sadly, I hardly know anything by Guns n' Roses (besides Welcome to the Jungle), Scissor Sisters, or Bon Jovi. U2 and Aerosmith I only have a greatest hits album by both of them. razz I think I have two Nickelback albums around here somewhere.

! You like Yoko Kanno, too, Soren!?!
i didn't know anybody else knew of her.
Zep's amazing, too. So's His Weirdness.
i used to be in a jazz band, before i switched high schools. Probably why i like Cowboy Bebop's music so much. i still listen to jazz quite a bit, especially trumpet jazz. (Notes that her boyfriend is getting a jazz studies minor on the trumpet.) i like older punk a lot, like the Sex Pistols and the Ramones. And i listen to a lot of other classic rock, except for Heart (i don't like the vocals) and the Rolling Stones... i can't stand them.

Oh yes, she's most awesome. razz I bought the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack for my brother a looooong time ago (and I ended up being the only one to listen to it), and it really turned me on to her stuff. She's dadgummed talented. razz I know a little bit of Piano Bar, but once it gets into the second part, man, it gets hard. Ooh, and I'm also going into jazz studies soon, probably. I've been studying jazz with my music teacher for a while now. razz
Oooh, What Planet Is This just started playing! domokun
I always hear people talk about the Sex Pistols and the Ramones, but I only know a few select songs from the latter. ;__; I never really understood why the Rolling Stones got so popular. There's nothing exactly spectacular about them, at least in comparison to the Beatles.

XD! If you don't get a hold of the other games, at least get a hold of the soundtrack. Would make any rock n' roll lover squirm with glee X3~ Mmm, I hardly managed to get a hold of anything Guns N' Roses here (not even a Hits collection), but the stuff I've heard over the radio isn't too bad, 'Sweet Child of Mine' is definitely one of my favourites from them XD
Utada Hikaru, back when I was a squeaky self-proclaimed otaku XD She's a Freddie fan as well, I think she did a rendition of One Vision once, should be up on YouTube somewhere O_o;
AH! You should definitely get a hold of Bon Jovi, I love love love their stuff DX

If you're after a GNR album, go for Appetite for Destruction. It's got "Welcome to the Jungle," "Sweet Child of Mine," and my favourite, "Paradise City".
