Over millenia has passed since Earth was shattered by the 4th World War, the planet now ruined by the fighting that lasted over 200 years. No one knows who started the war but every one remembers who finished it. America. Once again they had built a new bomb, once again the used it without remorse. Only this time it didn't have the affect they wanted, they had combined nuclear and emp blasts in the hope of not only decimating their enemies but crippling the entire populace. The fallout from this so called NU-Emp bomb had a different effect however, something went terribly wrong the bomb had the effect they had hoped for but it sent every computer system around the world haywire, banking systems, police and federal databases, ATMs, Tax record systems and even countries weapon systems.
The latter system was man's downfall, every missile around the world fired at their opposed countries, and enemies. Towns, Cities and villages were wiped out in within a matter of hours... billions of lives were lost...
It is now approximately the year 3568EoD (End of days) Arcane magic thought to have been lost had been released by these blasts, some believe it was the war shattered the leylines of the planet releasing this dormant energy, that we now call Arcanite.
Some life remains on the planet Earth, a few ragged settlements of humans remain. Life is not easy for these survivors however as the landscape of humanity not only consists of humans, no, there is far worse on the planet to contend with, various mutations of life have sprung up over the course of these many years, some peaceful, most not. All races survive the harsh world surveying and collecting Arcanite to fuel their needs for food and heat, and also they use it for their own protection.
There is but 5 factions amongst these new and old life forms some are at war some are not. The Humans make up most of the faction known as Varins, named after a great leader who had once led them to Hospitable lands.
2nd of these groups was the common Meta-humans, nicknamed "Elves" as they resembled the mythical creatures, they were a tall race, not much different from humans, bar their heightened intelligence and acrobatics, they lived in peace with humans.
The 3rd and dangerous faction were the "Darenites", these insect like creatures had seemed to evolve from all insect life, they where big brutish looking creatures who could either stand on all fours or happily walk on two legs with 4 arms to catch their prey, the fed on all life draining it of its blood and essence.
The 4th and most reclusive faction are the "Dragoonus", so called for their abilities to turn into Dragon like creatures. Not much is know about these men and women, all accounts tell of human like creatures who's skin is that of scales and horns.
The 5th and most feared faction are the "Blood Fell", these creatures resemble the creatures known in myth as Uruk hai. They had been human once but their appearances had changed due to prolonged exposure to harmful Arcanite know as "Darkmass". They had also become very hostile and violent, leading charges on every other faction, raping and pillaging settlements for the sheer joy of it.

Uruk Hai/Blood Fell - (maximum of)60 attack points, (maximum of)350 HP (very little defense, -10 to enemy attack if you fore go attack for defensive)
Humans - (maximum of)40 attack points, (maximum of)150 HP, 20 Defense Points (maximum)
Special Racial Ability -(High defense, special defensive bonus due to shield if carried, -10 to enemy attack even when attacking, -20 more if defending)
Elves - (maximum of)35 attack points, (maximum of)200 HP, Defese Points 10 (maximum)
Special Racial Ability - (High dexterity, -10 to Uruk attacks regardless of stance, +5 to attack if using a bow or daggers)
Bugs - (maximum of)50 Attack, (maximum of)200 HP (No special bonuses, -10 to enemy attack if in defensive.)
Dragons - (maximum of)60 attack, (maximum of)150 / 300 HP ( Take 10 more damage when fighting Humans or Elves, take 10 less damage when fighting everything else. Take no damage when using wings as shield, -50% HP in 'human' form.)
Basically using the number icon, when attacking you select the numbers relevant to your race/class. I'll demonstrate a Human attacking a Dragon to show you what it means.
ON COMBAT
As you can see, the number generated was 33, with the +10 to Human damage for the Dragon, we reduce 43 HP from it's maximum pool - reducing it to a mere 107. The fight would continue until one of the fighters 'died' or was knocked out. If you're going to die, and your enemy is vastly superior to you, you can try to yield. You may also 'fall unconscious' and the fight will be declared over... unless you're fighting Uruk Hai, who will murder you regardless.
ON LIFE AND DEATH
If you should die, a paladin may try to resurrect you through a link between the powers that be - by rolling from 1 to 100, if the number is over 50 then you live - if it's below, then you die and you may create a new character ( it can be the same character if you want but you'll have the option to change class and race, you will also be reduced to minimum HP and AP. )
When rolling for stats, all races start with a minimum of 40 HP - you then roll this with your race's maximum HP, for instance an Uruk would select from 40 to 350, should the numbers dictate 41 or 349 that will be your maximum HP from the beginning of the game. This works in the same way for attack points. Your race has a maximum damage potential, and every race has the bare minimum of 10 attack - you roll between 10 and (sticking with the Uruk) 60 - so should it dictate 11 or 59, then that will be your maximum damage potential for the duration of the game.
ON LEVELS
You may however 'level up' should you please the Gods. The Barbarian and Warrior gods will grant power to those who battle hard, and most importantly, win. The gods of magi will grant power to those who quest for knowledge. And a paladin will be granted divine gifts as they please whichever of the two. When you level up you'll perhaps be granted a bonus to attack power, or defensive power, or even more hit points (depending on your maximum) which gives you the option to character build. There is no set exp gain, but you will be notified of your glorious achievement.
ON DEFENSE
Defense decider will be between 1 and your maximum, since Uruk Hai do not have this option I will base it on a Human - you would be rolling between 1 and 20 as the minimum defense is only set to 1 - this allows a fair battle for any race. If you roll a 2 then only two points of the enemy attack will be deducted from its maximum, if you roll a 20 then twenty points will be taken off. More about this will be updated in the future however, as CLASS bonuses will dictate and affect your stats (sometimes majorly).
ON JOINING
We are completely aware that the initial stats decider will require two random numbers, worry not ye of little faith! Send forth thy message unto the Gods of wisdom! In other words PM two separate messages to me or Kaelthorn one titled Hit Points and the other titled Attack Points, obviously with each containing your rolls - for only then shall you be allowed to create your character! It's a good idea to create your character based upon the stats you acquire - for instance, low HP and AP would make a far better Rogue, Hunter, or Magi than it would a Fighter or Barbarian - however you don't have to abide by this suggestion.
ON HEALING
After combat you will no doubt have sustained some damage, don't worry for there are ways to prevent these wounds affecting you later on in the game - such as the five days of rations you've probably got in your pack. Instead of rolling around in the grass crying in pain, sit down, have a nice bowl of soup... you'll feel better for it. If soup isn't your thing, you may suppliment your rations for healing potions, these obviously work quicker and are easier to store - but have the same effect. It's all down to prefference. Also if you're in a Temple, on Holy Ground, near a Fresh Water Spring (where you may drink and feel refreshed..) or indeed have a healer with you, then you may heal by the magic of these people/places.
Your character, regardless of class and race, has one basic healing spell which can be cast after each battle. It's been learned since the dawn of Arcanite and it's knowledge passed down through the generations until today, and probably beyond. This spell has a base HEALING potential of five, and a maximum of 35, so you'd have the numbers dictate a number between 5 and 35. The maximum healing effect for classes other than healers/magic users/paladins is different. See class list for details.
UPDATE -
It has come to my attention that you cannot decide through PM, how troublesome! As you will see below, our guild leader has demonstrated for us how NOT to enter your stats (at my request), posting in this page your stats rolls will see you kicked in the head by my blue-flying-monkies.
How to roll now, I hear you ask in confusion? Thy confusion groweth through impatience! ... or something. What to do now then, is post in the designated thread - which can be found in the RPC forum.
Known Enemies -
Darenites : Cabauglar - A hard shelled beetle like mutation, it's virtually impregnable shell can only be overcome by a mighty blow from a Barbarian's attack, once the shell is weakened, cracked, or broken, the other classes may attack it as they would a regular foe. Their hard shell can be used as armor components, to make a good thing better - giving you a +1 to defense on your next battle.
Blood Fell - Uruk - A tough combatant of the Blood Fell - they are cut easy as men, but take more of a beating while dishing out more damage, caution is advised, DO NOT attack this alone, unless you're very confident in your ability. If you search them, you can usually find some coin or a potion. NICE!
Battle hard, warriors of the Arcanite!

Ironic, that was the only word to describe the time of our arrival at Temple Arcanitium - for it was the anniversary of the discovery of Arcanite at this very place, though now a ruin and host to various beings of corrupt soul, it was also a place of pilgrimage for the good people of the Earth.
The sound of battle just outside the doors, who is it - wonder, and terror at the thought of another horde of Blood Fell... alas, it was but one Blood Fell, it had obviously strayed too far from a much larger group - it had not other reason to be here after all. It didn't seem to be armed, which was curious.
(Blood Fell's HP roll It has base DPS of 10 due to no weapon.)

Morvegil ran out to meet his foe, he cared not for it's handicap as they would care not for his, but fate seemed to have smiled upon the group and it was by sheer chance that such an easy foe would be before them. Morvegil the Barbarian swung his two-handed bearded axe (single blade) at the villainous wretched scum that stood before him, a towering Blood Fell that'd obviously strayed from a much larger group.

The Blood Fell staggered back, and stumbled to the ground, where it picked up a rock - it held the stone in an agressive manner, giving it a much needed weapon! It had sustained 34 damage points due to the Human racial attack bonus - reducing it's health to 281.
(Uruk's new AP - 45 )

Morvegil the Barbarian took 29 damage from the monster, due to his skilled defense. This took his maximum HP pool down to 112. He immediately lashed back with a swing to his foe's side!
