It's official! Digimon Savers will indeed make it to America! Being directed by Jeff Nimoy, this new season of Digimon will air this fall on Toon Disney's Jetix block. With such actors as Quinton Flynn, Colleen O'Shaughnessy, and Crispin Freeman taking the lead roles, we're in for a great treat!! Keep an eye on the news page of further updates!
I dunno about you but I am excited as hell about it. I mean c'mon! FREEMAN!!! You cannot deny his awesomely voice acting power of DOOM! And of course Ichi-Freak is mundo excited about it as well. She idolizes Freeman, so dare to say any negative thughts on him, and your a** is hers. She'll go Brokeback Mountain on you. In a violent way.
She told me to write that. O_o Because I'm at her house. Using her computer. At 4am. Aren't I lovable?
Anyways, what are your thoughts on the new season on Savers? Personally, I think it would be a bit better off with the name staying as Savers. Data Squad sounds more Power Rangers than "so-called-Frontier's-plot". But I am really curious to know how this is gonna work out, especially since it's in the Jetix block. That means some serious dubbing is gonna take place. Hopefully, Masaru's personality won't change.

I'm sure you all heard about it, but here will be the place where I write up the important things coming up for the 5th season of Digimon, Digimon Savers...
Or in this case, Digimon Data Squad. It has been official, this fall, it's taking over the states on Jetix, directed byJeff Nimoy, the voice of Tentomon. I really want to see how this turns out-- is Masaru's personality gonna totally change because it's on Jetix? I'll have to buy my own Digimon journal (that'll probably look like teh Death Note for no apparent reason whatsoever)
So far the only news I have is the fact that Quinton Flynn (voiced Iruka-sensei from Naruto, Kon from Bleach), Colleen O'Shaughnessy (voiced Sora from Digimon, Ino from Naruto), and Crispin Freeman (voiced Kouichi/Duskmon from Digimon, Itachi from Naruto) are starring as Masaru, Yoshino and Touma, in that order. Uhm.. Oh!! And Blum-sama (voiced Junpei/Yamaki/BWGreymon/Kenta/Guilmon from Digimon, Kakujo from Duel Monsters) is playing Falconmon. Now that makes me happy.
Now, what doesn't make my happy? The name changes. Sunflowmon changes to Sunflowermon. That's not bad. But the names of hte main characters. Horrific. All TheDigiPort had so far was the dubbed named for Sunflomon and Touma, but I checked out Anime News Network for some voice-acting crackdown like I (almost) always do, and I fund out the dubbed names for the teams in this 5th season...
Masaru Daimon--> Marcus Daimon
Chika Daimon--> Kristy Daimon
Yoshino Fujieda--> Yoshi Fudieda
Touma Noirstein--> Thomas Noirstein
Falconmon--> Falcomon
Commander Satsuma--> Sampson???
Meh, a disgrace. -_-;; Ah well, at least they got good voice actors. But SAMPSON!!?? That'll reminded m,e of that bloated animal off Camp Lazlo, and I won't be a happy camper at all. AT ALL. But hey, what can I do?

Also Steve Blum the Voice Actor GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! shall be playing in it, so hells yeah.( by the way this is Ichi-freak)
