This here is a linklist for Discordian resources online, as well as a list of rectangular bundles of pressed wood pulp marked with ink that it may also be beneficial to seek out.

It will be updated as We Get Around To iT. Please feel free to nominate any we have missed.

http://www.poee.org/living/GetBook.aspx?BookID=7 arrow The work that started it all. The Principia Discordia. This link leads to full scans of the actual pages. Recommended for full effect, as the Principia does not translate well to plain text.

http://ology.org/principia/ arrow A partially HTMLized version of the Principia. Useful for searching quotes quickly, and clarifying parts of the scans which may be hard to read.

http://www.principiadiscordia.com/ arrow Combination of images and text to approximate the original pages.

http://appendix.23ae.com/ arrow The Appendix Discordia, an archive of rare Discordian documents and apocrypha.

http://www.poee.co.uk/web/ ~and~ http://www.poee.org arrow Valuable Discordian resource centers.

http://jubal.westnet.com/hyperdiscordia/ arrow The HyperDiscordia. Easy to get lost in. Be careful.

http://discordia.loveshade.org/ek-sen-trik-kuh/holydays/ arrow A list of Discordian (and related) holidays

http://www.mirrorkill.co.uk/ arrow The second openly Discordian band I've ever heard of.

http://www.theymightbegiants.com/ arrow The first.

http://brainwash.discordian.com/ arrow Cabaret Brainwash. Home of The Eris Sutra and the continuing tales of Dr. Van Van Mojo.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discordianism arrow Wikipedia's article on Us, containing some insightful passages and useful links.

Rectangular Bundles Of Wood Pulp:

The Principia Discordia by Malaclypse the Younger - There are many reprints out there. It is highly recommended for Full Psychodynamic Effect.

The Illuminatus! Trilogy by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson - If the Principia is a firecracker, the Illuminatus! Trilogy is an atomic bomb. I have seen it described as the most effective tool for human deprogramming.

Schrödinger's Cat Trilogy by Robert Anton Wilson - originally intended as a follow-up trilogy to Illuminatus! until something went horribly wrong and several editors were driven mad after reading it. it was locked away for years, but a few copies leaked before it was deemed "safe" to look at again. it's truely a ******** and includes a few characters you may remember from Illuminatus!, including Simon Moon, Markoff Cheney, Joe Malik, and Our Beloved Malaclypse the Younger. if you enjoyed Illuminatus! you'll enjoy this.

The Road To Mars by Eric Idle - A sci-fi satire-comedy about a pair of interplanetary vaudevillians and the robot who studies them to learn what makes humans laugh.

Yay! I looked up The Principia Discordia after we spoke and then I had to get off the computer so I forgot all about it stare Annoying parents and their silly chores. rolleyes

Chores unfortunately don't stop when you're freed of parents. It's worse because you have to make yourself do them. But then again you can do them on your own schedule, so I guess it balances.

I have a copy of the illumnatus trilogy on my comp. donno how much of it is there, been too lazy to read it as of yet. if anyone wants me to attempt to send it to them, drop me a PM and we'll try and figure out how to get it to ya.

I can't imagine someone sitting in front of a screen to read the entire trilogy. I've got the collection in a single paperback volume.

agreed, i have trouble reading actual texts online without my eyes wanting to start bleeding. it causes a certain amount of strain. i've read a print copy of Principia (original 4th & 5th edition from the 1970s, in extremely good condition), and i own both the Illuminatus! and Schrödinger's Cat trilogies. nearly finished with the latter one, but i've got 1 week left of college and i'm going to be extremely busy.

There is a decided lack of Lewis Carroll in this thread. I highly recommend Martin Gardner's The Annotated Alice, it has lots of notes and stuff. I'm sure the plain text of the actual story can be found online somewhere...

Ah, yes, HERE it is! That was easy... Good book, it drew me to Discordianism before I knew what to call it (I like Taoism, too, so knowing what to call it wasn't all that important)
