Soo. My mother had trouble sleeping one night. 'I thought of you. Is this how Chris[tin] feels every night? Haha..' Noo. I stay up, . . . blah blah . . . and usually end up crying. I mostly cry about you, mommmyyy. 'Uhh... Why do I make you cry?' You never listen. About the bipolar. Blah blah barf.
So that landed me a neurologist appointment at the end of the week.
I got an MRI and an EEG, I refused to have my blood taken.
One week later.. 'The tests were fine. You have a very nice brain. I'm gonna put her on adderall in the mornings to wake her up, And something else at night to put her down.'
Grrr. Bipolar doesn't show up on those tests, I'm pretty sure. Says Mr. Internet..
It bothered me that this is like. The only doctor my mom trusts. And this is what I get? No further.. Anything?
OH, And, My daddy wouldn't let me bring up bipolar. whee So the doctor thinks my only problem in life is sleeping.
Sorry for the story time. ._.
But yea. Anyone else get put on adderall? How did that affect your bipolar?

I was on adderall for just over a year, and recently my doctor and I started talking about doing a self medication thing with it to help me in school. It has interesting effects. It amplifies to manic, and tones down the depression. It stopped me from constantly feeling lethargic, but it also added to me not really being fully in the moment. My only issue was taking it with an anti-depressant. It made me really kind of nuts in my manic cycles. It's an upper. So is the anti-depressant. You can't expect to take one, or even both, and not have up swings, but when you're bi-polar those are naturally going to be worse.

I've never taken Adderall, so I don't know how it affects you and what the side effects are and whatnot. My hubby's been on nearly every single pill in existence (for psychological disorders, anyways :XP smile so I'll try to remind myself to ask him when he wakes up, and post it here, if I can.
biggrin
