So my friend and I were discussing Ouija Boards for like two or three hours a few nights ago, and I was talking about how if I ever got a Ouija Board the first person I'd try to contact would most definitely be John Lennon. That's quite obvious, as far as I'm concerned, but y'know, just had to say it.
Anyways, with Contacting the Spirit World on my mind, I went to sleep and had a dream that I dialed the "phone number" for John Lennon (that is, his name in numbers, like JOHN LENNON would be 5646 536666) on this rotary phone from the 1960's and someone actually answered. Then the conversation went something like this:
JOHN: Hello? ME: Is this John Lennon? JOHN: Yeah, I'm eating - could you call back later? ME: But you're dead!... what're you eating? JOHN: Cornflakes. ME: You're rich and you're dead, couldn't you come up with something fancier than cornflakes? JOHN: ...I like cornflakes. ME: Fine. I'll call back later. JOHN: g'bye.
Maybe some day in the future I'll have a dream where I call back and he's not busy eating cornflakes. Also, I told my same friend from earlier about it and she drew a little comic depicting the dream ;D
And in a barely-related transition: Green Day remade a John Lennon song, and the level of my hatred for that goddamn band has risen up about fifteen degrees because now all the little kiddies are going to think "Working Class Hero" is a song by a untalented group of guys in eyeliner. And I swear to any and all higher powers in this universe or the next, if one person sings that song, and I comment that it's John Lennon, and they "correct" me by saying it's Green Day, I might have to go against my pacifistic ways and beat them over the head with a hammer. |:

god green day sucks I can't really picture Paul McCartney as mean. O: She probably likes the Green Day version because the lead singer sounds drunk and incomprehensible and wears eyeliner, and they trashed the actual music so that it sounds like a fleet of blenders battling against an army of hairdryers. That's what's 'in' these days, you realize. The only good thing Green Day did was leave in John singing the "If you wanna be a hero, then just follow me." lines, and bowing down during the time they played them in the music video. I was like "Yeah, you better bow down to John Lennon, because even just two lines of his pre-recorded voice is better than all you guys combined." and then I growled a lot.

It's so weird that your parents don't like you liking old rock bands like that. Whenever my parents talk to people they practically brag about my taste in music.
I wish we had Beatles-related events anywhere close to my city, but the closest place that would hold something like that would be in Orlando or Tampa and they're hours away. My parents would pay like $50 for a ticket to something in our city before they've pay $5 for something in a city hundreds of miles away.

Any of my Beatle related dreams are always really weird haha.
But since we're also talking about Green Day I shall join in smile
I hate their version so much. Like.. when I was stupid I liked them.. Seen them live. I know, it's embarassing. So I really grew out of them and now, they come out with a cover of Working Class Hero and like, that made me so mad haha. And I hate hearing people say "Oh Green Day made it their own it really sounds nothing like the original. They're amazing!" But they're completely wrong haha. It sounds like the original but a lot crappier and they didn't 'make it their own' at all. They could've atleast done one of his happier songs for charity I think. But all these teenagers want to be is depressed now haha.
They're having a Beatlefest I believe in my city in September biggrin But it'll probably be crap because my city is so small and full of hicks.
My parents never let me go to concerts. They always say it's a waste of money, but anytime my brother wants to go to a concert they always let him. It's not fair sad

Mom: well he is gay Me: no hes not Mom: yeah he is Me: seriously? Mom: yes! Me: no really, hes gay? Mom: yes, he is Me: mick jagger is gay Mom: YES! Me: you're not joking? Mom: no i'm not! Me: huh....thats intresting
