Kingdom of Agartha

History

Agartha was first formed by a group of people who were determined to rise above the questionably civilized state of their neighbors. Living in huts and barely making a decent living wasn’t going to cut it. And so, they began the legacy of science. They researched and built and created, founding the most technologically advanced civilization on Gaia. Their metropolis cities can be seen from miles away and are a source of great pride for all of the citizens. The very literal viewpoint of the culture fit in very well with the militaristic point of view. And so, Agartha also became known for its advanced military and organization. Soldiers are seen patrolling the streets during every minute of every day and night. The citizens welcome this show of authority and power, knowing that the soldiers are there to protect them as well as keep the more unruly people in line.

Politics/Economy

Agartha is run in a manner similar to that found on a military base. Everything is run by a 5-star General – General of Agartha -- who is promoted to the position by the previous General. The candidates are chosen from the 4-star Generals that have proven themselves qualified for the job. The lower ranks are filled by the standing army, with the civilians being low-man on the totem pole. There are strict curfews and rules enforced by the military that help keep the peace in the kingdom. Scientists are automatically given a 2nd-Lieutenant rank upon their addition to the Facility. After that, they have the opportunity to advance themselves to higher ranks. Most of the higher ranking officers are also scientists or have been scientists at one time or another. Agartha is a very aggressive kingdom, using its might and power to bully its way into everything. Currently, Agartha holds a shaky truce with the other nations.

Geography

Agartha is made up almost completely of large cities with the surrounding areas consisting of suburbs. There are very few places where one can go just to commune with nature. Mostly because preserving nature is not high on anyone’s list of things to do. So the land has been developed and scalped to make way for more cities and more suburbs. The cities are beginning to grow so large that the suburbs of one city might very well bleed into the suburbs of the next city over. What few areas of untouched land are left can be found in almost invisible pockets. There are not many, and not many people even recall that they exist. If it became a widely known fact, there would be – without a doubt – developers there the next morning to create more housing for the population.

Weather

General: Scientists in Agartha are at the brink of complete weather control with their technology. They have crafted a shield to cover the majority of the cities. It will eventually – they hope – dictate the temperature and regulate the amount of rain and such that will fall upon the citizens of Agartha. However, it is not quite that advanced as of yet. Until then, the populace will have to put up with variations in weather as well as that pesky thing known as rain. It is generally not cold enough to warrant snow, though it has been known to happen on occasion. Mostly there is just rain and the lack of rain, as the sun can rarely penetrate through the cloud of smog that hovers over the cities.

Daily: Today, there is a slight rainfall -- no more than a sprinkle. The sky is cloudy and the temperature remains around 65 degrees F.
