As the battered rider and mount neared the city, a slim solitary figure stood in the shade, leaning, non-chalantly against a building watching the two approach. He was a tall, slimly built man, of an extremely pale, yet not unhealthy looking, complexion and raven black dead straight hair which flirted down to his hips. He wasn't dressed uncommonly, nor was he doing anything out of the ordinary. He was stood out to Setara, though no one else in the bustling city seemed to notice him. He said nothing as the two drew nearer to the city, merely smiled - more with his red eyes than his mouth.

Setara was alomst to dropping point. She & Lorkhan had been walking for what seemed like an age with the sun beating down on her. The nomad looked back to Lorkhan & would have patted him if she had not been denied the use of her free arm. "Not much further Lorkhan..the guy back there that gave us direction said the Inn was only a short way away." She assured her weary companion. Lorkhan let out a snort, indicating that he understood. Setara turned to face forward again & caught sight of somone watching her. Red eyes. Setara averted her gaze only moments after placing it & pushed onwards through the crowd, wincing ever time that her arm was barged, nudged or irked. Something about that figure worried her....

Before Setara could even realize it, the slim figure was beside her like a shadow. Rather than acting as if he took much notice in her, he walked along side her without a word. A few moments observation would make it seem as if he was preventing passerbys from even brushing against her injured arm. However, he offered no other help, or any verbal communication. He didn't even set his red gaze back upon her. Just simply kept along side her as a walking shield.

Setara almost jumped out of her skin but managed to retain what composure she had by keeping quiet. She swallowed hard & looked to Lorkhan with a worried look on her face. Neither were in any state t put up a struggle & they both knew it. Lorkhan seemed undaunted by this factor & swung his head, letting out a sharp whicker. This one....he was too close to Setara. Lorkhan watched the being warily, glancing to look at him every few seconds. A few minutes of walking like this set Setara's flesh crawling. Something was very wrong, regardless of whether this person was a help rather than hindrance. Experimenting to see if the being was indeed following, she stopped abruptly & stooped, putting down the saddle & adjusting the back of her sandle. If the being stopped, Setara knew she was probably in for some trouble. Lorkhan was surprised by his friends halting & had walked almost six full strides ahead. Whipping his bulk back round, he came back to her & bent his head to nuzzle Setara's own.

Rather than stop or continue walking forward, he took a couple steps backwards, then turned to a fruit vender. After almost having to force a few coins upon the woman (who looked flushed by his good looks) to pay for the fruit, he walked back up to Setara, holding out an apple with his pale, slender fingers.
"For your mount," His voice was like a harp, soft and musical, though he spoke in low, hushed tones as if trying to not draw attention to himself. "I have another for you, but I think your Arm needs to be set before you can enjoy it."

Setara looked up at him, not drawn by his good looks as the fruit seller had been, but by his eyes alone. They sent nothing through her but cold fear. Setara nodded in respectful thanks & gestured for Lorkhan to come forward. "Lorkhan....this man has a gift for you.." Setara said quietly, eyeing this person warily. Lorkhan wasn't sure of accepting this gift from a stranger & whickered quietly, looking up at the stranger with frightened eyes. Setara turned to the man once more. "Forgive him....but...could you maybe take a bite out of it first? He's not entirely sure of strangers....the last person who offered him something" Setara broke off her scentence & took a tiny step back to lean against her companion & pet his neck. Lorkhan watched him, unsure of what to make of this....whatever it was. It didn't smell like his friend Seta. Setara noted his voice, thinking it rather nice in comparioson to the harsh tones back home but noted that it could also be deceptive.

"Oh I see" Was all he mouthed before looking at the apple. There was almost a faint look which could be concieved as sadness, but then he gave another of his smiled and took a hearty bite out of the apple causing some of the juice to dribble down the side of his chin. He casually used his sleeve to wipe down his jaw and held the apple out to Lorkhan again.
"See, it's safe." He said between chewing.
"As for you, Miss," He paused to swallow the apple. "That arm needs to be looked at and my shop is just ahead." Then, he paused and added, "I have been trained. and I mean medically, not house-" he added with a chuckle, a smile and a wink.

Setara looked back. Hospitality? Towards a nomad? He must be a madman..or stupid...or both! Or maybe it was a decpetion. Setara however decided to play along for the time being. She was unable to muster an expression, being tired & nodded weakly. "I assure you....my sleeping space will be worse than anything you can show me..." She mumbled, watching as lorkhan snuffled at the strangers outstretched hand & took the apple, chewing on it slowly. It was a nice apple to be sure, but he liked mints better. Lorkhan finished his snack & gave the stranger a nudge in thanks, not a nuzzle, but a nudge. Setara noted that curiously. Usually, strangers got a wary glance only... "Lead the way then....I would rather like to avoid collapsing in the street."

"Oh yes... of course." He said almost awkwardly... they'd been stopped for a bit now and people were starting to stare. Even with his odd apperance, he seemed to balk a bit at being stared at. He tapped his foot a couple times, having a obsorbed look in his face.
"Well then, let's be off." He said as if snapping to suddenly. He gestured toward one of the more main streets, then started heading that way after making sure that Setara and Lorkhan were following.

The saddle hoisted onto her shoulder & her belongings piled upon her asthough she were a pack mule, Setara followed the figure in front of her. She was wary, but would probably not be awake enough to resist being attacked. After walking a few paces Setara's mind clicked. What was it he had said?
"I have been trained. and I mean medically..."
That meant he might know something of Nomi's Illness! Setara made a mental note to ask him of her brothers malady as soon as possible. She could barely think now though, so fatigue would have to be dispelled if she wanted to talk sense. Lorkhan followed next to his companion, acting as Setara's sheild now that their unexpected 'ally' of sorts was leading in front. The equidyne preffered it this way. this stranger was not too close.

As they arrived at a strange looking little shop, their guide fumbled with his immense collection of silver, copper, and brass keys, muttering a little under his breath. It was odd... at times he seemed to move with complete grace and the rest of the time he seemed rather ...awkward.
"Aha!" he turned a small brass key, and the door unlocked with a click. He started in the door, but then stopped and turned around.
"Oh, and I doubt your companion will fit in the shop, but if he decided to enter, can you please have him wipe his hoofs?" His tone could have either been joking or serious, and either would have fit. He turned on one heel and marched into the little shop... An apothecary filled with hundreds of dried herbs, vials containing liquids and a multitude of dozens of odd things which seemed to over-cram the small shop. He glanced around a bit, then seemed to find what he was looking for.
"Here it is!" and then almost comically, removed a rather large stack of booked of what seemed to bethe only reachable bench in the stop. everything had somethign piled on it, that particular bench just seemed to be the least buried. "Please take a seat over here, Miss!"

Setara stepped in carefully & looked around warily with her watery green eyes. This place piqued her curiosity & yet inspired a slight hint of fear within her soul. She looked round at Lorkhan, who's head was poked through the door. He whickered quietly & Setara turned to the young man a short distance away. "Stay there Lorkhan..." She requested quietly, walking to him & shushing her friend into a calmer state. "Is it ok to leave the door open Sir?." Setara managed quietly, sitting where she had been bade, looking about herself at the cluttered environment. She reasoned that Lorkhan would most definately not be able to fit through the door. He was not lithe like Trory, bulky & stocky like the workhorse he would have been had he not been made a mount. Setara watched the giude & her surroundings carefully.

He pretty much ignored the fact that the door was left open. Looking at the order of the place one had the distinct impression that this man often forgot the basics of living.
"Oh.. please don't ...call me sir... it makes me sound.... Stuffy." His voice wa preoccupied as he was currently digging through piles of "junk" trying to locate a particular item. after tossing around a few things...
"Aha!" He emerged from his piles of nick-knacks wearing a parculiar looking pair of.... glasses. He walked over to Setara with a bag in his hand. setting the bag down he pulled out some forceps, wads of cotton fiber, and a bottle.
"Please hold still... I warn you some of it will sting..." He quickly doused the cotton in the unpleasant smelling liquid from the bottle and dabbed it carefully on setara's cuts and scrapes. He worked quickly an efficiently, and unlike his earlier awkward self, he seemed completely engrossed in the task. After finishing he replaced all of those objects back into his bag and removed the odd glasses.
"There we are... now let's look at that arm..." He hummed a bit, gently lifting her arm to look at it closer. He pressed gently on a couple ares on her lower arm, watching her reaction. He clicked his tongue after looking it over for a couple moments. "Well, it certainly isn't a clean break... but it could have been much worse... did you try resetting it yourself?"
He half waited for a response then got up and started looking in drawers. He obviously needed his whole workshop re-organized.
"Well, just a moment... I should be able to set it back in place.. I just need to find my splints..."

Setara had winced when the stranger had pressed down on her arm. It had hurt considerably, but the nomad wasn't one to cry out over something trivial. She was wary of the liquid that the stranger had placed on her arm, but was feeling no effects of a typical poison. Setara put her suspicious nature aside, nodded in response to his question & replied in a weak whisper that seemed to defy the fatigue she was suffering in some way. "I did try to set it myself. It was at a rather...uncomfortable angle you see." Setara said, unsure of what else to tell him. Herbal cures for heachaches & stomach bugs were her area of limited expertise after all. She pondered next why he didn't like being called 'Sir'. Yes it was a stuffy term, but this was hardly the situation where you asked for a name. Her gaze drifted back to Lorkhan, who was now slumped half in & half out of the doorway. The gaze that returned her own was baleful & worried. Setara smiled to him & mouthed that she was alright. Lorkhan continued to sulk. As Setara had predicted, the equidyne was still sceptical of this young man's nature. The nomad turned her attention back to the fellow nearby. Setara thought she was disorganised, but this was certainly making her reconsider.

The man floated around the room slowly gathering items up then made his way bad to Setara. He have set, have dropped the items down on the bench. Kneeling down next to her, he smiled up at her.
"I hope you have a high threashold for pain... because resetting this will not feel very pleasant. I'd operate to make sure all the pieces get properly reset, but I don't think you or your Equidyne fellow would trust me to do that." He waved a hand airily. He may not have acted like it, but that one line showed that he had seen every bit of the distrust they had shown. However, he kept smiling in his strange manner, and sorted out the items on the bench.
"Do I have your permission to reset that arm?"
