The most sure fire way to survive the zombie outbreak is to be organized into squads, each with it's own compliment of soldiers.

Proposed soldier groups:

Medic
Scout
Sniper
Spotter/Sniper's assitant
Infantry
Demolition
Driver/Mechanic
Radio/Supply Gatherer

Medic- A Medic's sole purpose is to make sure that they can stop the virus, or make the bitee more comfortable before they die. Carries Medical supplies and Standard issue 12-gauge shotgun and pistol.

Scout- A scout, well, scouts out the area. Fast, sneaky, and excellent in quick getaways. Carries a pistol, self medkit, survival knife, and a radio

Sniper- Snipers sit far away from the action, often saving the rest of the squad. However, this can be the most dangerous position, as you are alone with a loud weapon, probably attracting zombies. Carries a rifle, scope, lots of ammo, self medkit, a pistol, and a radio.

Sniper's Assistant/Spotter- Since the sniper's field of vision is limited to his scope, he needs an assistant to watch his back and also to help spot zombies that the sniper cant see. Carries a light weapon(Such as a Carbine or Sub Machine Gun set in semi-auto), Pistol, binoculars, self-medkit, and extra ammunition for the Sniper's main weapon.

Infantry- The meat and bones of the the Defens Force. Carries a 12-gauge shotgun, a shovel or other blunt weapon, high powered pistol, and a radio.

Demolition- Blows s**t up. Need more explanation? Too bad. They carry supplies enough for a few bombs, and know how to make bombs from miscellaneous household item. Carries bomb supplies, pistol, and a radio.

Driver- The Driver of the group does what his name implies. The higher the rank, the bigger the car. Carries radio.

Radio/Supply Gatherer- The Radio operator is the axle of the operation, establishing a good defensible spot for a home base in the area, and gathering supplies in the mean time. Carries a radio antennae, transmitter, and broadcaster. Needs Infantry for defense.

The squads will have:
Medic 1
Scout 1
Sniper 1
Spotter/SA 1
Infantry 3
Demolition 1
Driver/Mechanic 2
Radio/Supply Gatherer 1

May I suggest adding Heavy Gunner? A description for it could be:

Heavy Gunner- Self explanatory. The Heavy Gunner carries the biggest machine gun and is often the strongest of the squad, but tends to be slow. Carries a large caliber machine gun, pistol, blunt weapon (See infantry) and a radio.

Being in military guilds, it wouldn't seem right not to have a Heavy Gunner.

This is true. but in a world where only headshots count, a heavy gunner seems like a waste of ammunition that will get scarce quick. sweatdrop

I think a spotter/assistant gunner for the Sniper would be a more plausible addition. I mean, hell, you'd be stupid to leave your sniper unattended.


If you could add a Spotter, I'd fill that role. I can describe it too. xd
