Rothorion
Okay, you've got a lot of money, there's an extremely rare item you want, but there's a problem. The item in question is completely illegal and you would be arrested and thrown into Senatine without thinking about it. So, where would we get the item in question? The Blackmarket of course! Where else can you get that special item you just gotta have without the military coming down on you? It's all here! Have money, will buy! As long as the vendor is not a thief and isn't an undercover soldier from Hellion, you can get all of the illegal items you want here. Rothorion is roughly half a mile big and is found in the center alleys of the many Guild Districts. Just try not to run into any thieves. They tend to hand out in the blackmarket waiting for some rich person to walk through.

[Hey. I resent that mark about the thieves! XD]
Kadee slipped through the crowded market with surprising agility. Her ears were slightly laid back as her slitted eyes scanned the crowd, automatically searching. She wasn't looking for a mark at the moment. But old habits die hard. And she sized up everyone she saw as a potential victim. Most of the people she dismissed completely. They were a part of the Black Market and, as such, were off limits. These were people like her who made a living on the other side of the legal system. Comrades in arms and all that. But the others...they were just marks. Rich bastards who came down to the Black Market to peddle to their perverted tastes. Kadee's ears flattened completely, her lips curling back in a silent hiss at the sight of a wealthy man sizing up the merchandise. The girl he was inspecting was barely legal -- even for the Black Market. Child peddlers knew to steer clear of this area. They sold their merchandise in a more private setting. The small girl weaving through the crowd, flexed her claws a bit. She'd love to find them. And rip them apart.
"Oi! Kadee!" A familiar voice cut through her dark thoughts. Her eyes crinkled in pleasure as she turned to see one of the shop owners hailing her over. He was an old friend. She would always bring him her best takes. They both got a kick out of the sight of a rich man buying a newly cut jewel that she'd stolen from him less than a week ago. The shop owner winked conspiratorily. "What are you up to you little minx?" his eyes twinkled.
Kadee's ears rotated forward until they were facing the man. Her eyes rolled along with her r's as she spoke. "Me? I am doing nothing. I think you are getting a little paranoid?" Her body language spoke of an old joke among friends and high amusement. But the gestures were lost on the shopowner as they would not have been among her own people. The Mithrans were a people of few words -- relying on their sense of smell and highly developed body language instead. Still, Kadee had been among the other races for quite some time now. And she was used to talking with people who understood only half of what she was really saying. "What do you have for me?"
The man laughed, his voice booming out over the masses. "Well! I know you've been bored lately," Kadee nodded enthusiastically. "And I know that you wanted a chance to train some of your other skills." Again, Kadee nodded, though this time more cautiously. What was he up to? "Well! I found you a job!" He reached behind the bin, pulling out a poster. It was from the Alchemist Guild, wanting help in tracking down a criminal. Kadee's ears flattened momentarily. "You've got to be kidding me!" she whined goodnaturedly. "I'm not a bounty hunter! I'm a borrower!" The man's look was reproachful. Kadee sighed. "Yeah, yeah. Whatever." She crossed her arms, trying a cute pout. But one peek out of the corner of her eyes proved that it was having no effect. Giving up, she tried another tactic. "I might get hurt..." she sniffed. "Even the poster described him as a mad man! And trickeries? That could be any kind of dangerous ability!" The shopowner continued looking at her sternly. Damn. He reminded her of her father...Though her father was much more passive aggressive. She swiftly abandoned that tactic as well. The problem was, she had no real reason for denying him. She had been bored recently. There had been no good takes in the last few days. And she was itching to go out and do something.
"So much for staying unnoticed by the authorities," she grumbled as she took the poster and read it again. Her tail twitched in agitation and her eyes were slightly narrowed. Her body language spoke of chastized petulance. And she was glad, for once, that he couldn't understand the second half of their conversation. "Alright, alright. I'll go check it out." She sighed, her entire body deflating. Aggressive males were so perplexing. And irritating. She leapt nimbly over the stall to stand beside him, rubbing the side of her face along his cheek bone in a formal greeting/farewell. "I'll be back soon. No promises!" she warned him lightly as she sprinted through the crowd towards the Alchemists' Guild.
