I was going to sleep last night and all of a sudden I had an idea. I was thinking about starting a Soldier PenPal program with the soldiers in Iraq. This way they get constant encouragement and thanks for serving, and they get someone to talk to about something other than the war. I just wanted your opinions on this, and wondered if you might participate?

I would participate. I have a cousin over there and he loves it with I send him email.
Naturally I have to vote yes on this, because I have a husband in Iraq. They need to hear from the outside world, and no soldier can have too many letters/emails/good thoughts and prayers from home. Even from strangers.
This is a really great idea! I fail at writing letters and mailing them (I always get bored with the idea as soon as I get excited about it) but I think I would seriously try to do it if we could work something out. I might even try to get Unashamed to participate in it. How can we go about doing something like this?

That's where I'm stuck. I"m thinking we'd have to go through the army or government or something, but I have no idea who to talk to about it.
