Family ties 1018
Wooh this episode was a fiasco with all the lieing and scheming i couldn't follow this entire episode but what about those moon rocks hmm. I really thought the character that played valas dad was a really good choice and he really acted the part for how i thought vala's father would be like. the end was hilarious i thought that he would do what he did but i never expected the deal at the very end.

I'm surprised that no one's mentioned the last scene yet. whee
Fred Willard is the actor's name, I believe. He's actually relatively well-known. Shows how much sway the shows carry in the casting department. mrgreen

It's amazing how many big names they seem to have had over the years. The show made it bigtime compared to so many other series.

They even got Isaac Hayes to do a voiceover in one bit of 200. That's saying a lot!
But seriously, the last scene. Thoughts? Reactions? How much did YOU laugh? wink

The bit right before the fade-out was superb. Where he looked like he was trying to hide his face. lol

Actually, the writers wrote the part of vala's father with fred willard in mind. so it wasn't necessarily good casting. it was just good acting that got him on the show.
and the v****a monologues scene with teal'c had both my mother and i in tears we were laughing so hard. thank god for Tevo. we must have watched that part 100 times that night.

Well what I mean about casting is that they actually got him when they wanted him.
