Lynor Eclipse
I'm on a university varsity team, plus the club that trains with them, though this summer I'm not swimming club, and I'm likely going to retire when I graduate from university next year, possibly only swimming at one club meet (Olympic Trials), and the rest just varsity. From my other posts on here it shouldn't be too hard to figure out which team I swim for, and the biggest give-away hint is that it is the best team in Canada... and has been for the past decade.
OH that's cool so how is your swimming this year !
Heh, we haven't had any meets yet. Our first one is in a couple of weeks. The team's really different this year than it was last year. We have 13 new rookies (4 women, 9 men), and only 16 returning members (10 women, 6 men). I'm still getting to know the men's team, so I don't know how they stand at the moment (I've almost got everyone's names now, but I still don't know what all of them specialize in).
On the women's team, we're strong in fly, distance free, breaststroke, and IM. We'll probably be alright in mid free as well. Our rivals have a lot of sprint freestylers, and unfortunately, I'm not quite fast enough to beat them all. I'm the only sprint freestyler on my team. Our top backstroker graduated last year, so hopefully our new team captain, who is also a backstroker, can get fast enough to win (she's been top 8 in the back events, but has yet to medal).
Anyways, we'll see! How's your season going?
