After windows deleting openSuSe I installed Kubuntu 7.04, Feisty Fawn which if you don't know the basic difference between Kubuntu 7.04, Feisty Fawn and ubuntu 7.04, Feisty Fawn is that Ubuntu uses gnome (withch I persanly hate I always have trouble with but probably works great in ubuntu) and Kubuntu uses KDE (which works very well) EDIT: It is better if you have a high speed internet connection even if you have it shiped to you so you and get the extra packages because it comes with only the stuff you got to have and you need to download everything it doesn't come with that you want

Why not just download the ISO from Ubuntu's website? Anyway, I have Ubuntu 7.04 on my computer now using it with fluxbox (yes my computer CAN handle gnome, etc, I just like fluxbox). I just need to figure out why on earth my vista laptop (don't ask long story) won't let me install Ubuntu x64 (it's a 64 bit processor in it).

Vista is a nightmare for Linux, one of the things that vista has that throws Linux off is the format that Vista uses, NTFS-FS, Linux gets confused about the -FS part and has no clue what do to. The best way to get around any and all problems with dual booting Linux is A) Replace Vista with XP, B) Wipe Vista off your laptop and just use Linux, C) Go into the partion manager in Vista and Shrink Vista down to the size that you want it, leaving the rest of your HD blank for Linux.

I have wiped the laptop and everything, but it just sits there boot screen and won't let me install.
