Okay so a situation just happened that brought this to my mind.
I'm in a rp and the person I was with in the rp was gone for a little while so we didn't get to post. Now another couple has already moved on to the next day when we're in the day before. Not to mention everyone in the rp is supposed to be best freinds so basically they're going and leaving thier friends out to dry. I asked them to wait a day so my rp partner and I could catch up but they just kinda brushed it off and told us to hurry up. They didn't do it in a rude way, but I still don't get it.
I mean, if people who are supposed to go into a magical forest together (which we are) are on two different timelines how is that supposed to work? At this rate the rp is bound to crumble which REALLY sucks.
Not to mention the girl told me to "not post as long" because she spent "like 20 min. reading my last post" ....Well excuse me for being literate and liking detail!!! ....Our posts weren't ever really that long
My question to everyone is how do you pace things in your rp? Is it right for people to just go of on thier own little timeline or should they sacrifice a few hours/days to make sure everyone is on the same page (or shoul dI say time)?

And I agree with you!
I mean, what's the use of RP'ing with more than two people if you aren't able to wait for them to catch up?? I wait for people all the time. I don't mind waiting, really. I mean, of course it kind of bums me out that I can't post yet, but it's not that bad. I don't mean to be rude in any way, but this girl must have a slow brain or something. Your posts aren't long at all and I read through them in like, a minute. I love your attention to detail and I would rather RP with you than with her someone who's posts are only one line long and have no adjectives whatsoever.
One time, I waited nine days for someone to post. o0;
And another time, I saw someone's post. It was a whole page long. o0;;

I've been in rp's before where people just go off and do their own thing and it either ends up falling apart or it's just like a bunch of one on one rp's that all happen to be in the same thread. I mean, it's much more fun if you can keep somewhat of that group atmosphere!!
Thanks by the way...Now I'm kind of mad because he stopped when you asked but not when I did...But whatever, at least he's stopping. You're so very awesome *huggles again.

Oh, if I'm correct I know exactly what RP yuo are speaking of Divine. Haha, I apologize for that, I should've stepped in before and told them to slow down, but I've just been going through so much and today took the cake. I told them to slow it down, and if they dont' I can find replacements. It shoudln't be like that.. you know where two peopel take up the whole plot? That's not what I intended.. So it's mostly my fault. I take all the blame. -Nod-

That's why I usually only do one on one RP's xp But yeah, I know what you're getting at, and it can be annoying. And I'd like to offer a better contribution to this discussion, but I haven't roleplayed in an actual thread (or at all) in such a long time. I'm just too picky xd
Hmm.... Yeah, I think in the last group RP I was in, the days got all mixed up, and so did the times of days, and locations and what was going on and who killed who and who got together with who. And then people quit and the RP turns to a one on one, and if you need more characters, instead of making someone the third wheel, you use different colors of text. Done that before 3nodding

Daisy, I like detail (^_^), so I would never complain about anyone writing too long and taking too long to read, unfortunately, not many people I rp with uses detail much. (-_-)

Yes, it can be annoying. I can totally relate to that. That's why I got more picky as well...I don't join rp's if I get that...Well, either that "newbie rp" or "n00b-ish rp" vibe...The latter is a lot worse!!!

Haha, ity's okay Divine. I am sort of picky myself. I don't like it when poeple don't read the rules and join by following them for a second and then they end up not following them during the RP. It's bothersome and a little wierrd sometimes, but I do not mind it as much anymore.
