1948
+ March 26th : Stephen Victor Tallarico is born in New York City.
1950
+ June 21st : Joseph Michael Kramer is born in New York City.

+ December 31st : Thomas William Hamilton is born in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

+ February 23rd : Brad Earnest Whitford is born in Winchester, Massachusetts.
1970
+ A band is formed, which consists of Steven Tallarico, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer, and Ray Tabano. Joey suggests Aerosmith as their name.
+ Aerosmith plays their first live show at Nipmuc Regional High School.
1971
+ Ray Tabano is replaced with Brad Whitford.
1972
+ Frank Connally becomes Aerosmith’s promoter.
+ Aerosmith signs with Columbia records.
+ Steve Leber and David Krebs become Aerosmith’s managers.
1973
+ January : Aerosmith releases their self-titled debut album.
1974
+ March : “Get Your Wings” is released.
+ August 16th : Aerosmith performs “Train Kept A Rollin’” on “The Midnight Special”.
1975
+ March : “Toys In The Attic” is released.
+ March 25th: Toys in the Attic Tour begins.
1976
+ May : “Rocks” is released.

+ November : “Live: Bootleg” is released.
+ Aerosmith is cast for the role of the “Future Villain Band” in the Beatles tribute film “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”. They performed “Come Together”.
1979
+March 27th: Aerosmith played at the Main Act in Lynn, Massachusetts as Dr. J. Jones and The Interns.
+ December : “Night In The Ruts” is released.
+ Joe Perry leaves Aerosmith to pursue a solo career, which became “The Joe Perry Project”. Jimmy Crespo was brought in to take his place.
1980
+ March 4th: Cover of Circus magazine: "Aerosmith loses Joe Perry but stays out of the ruts".
+ October : Aerosmith’s first Greatest Hits album is released.
1981
+ Brad Whitford leaves Aerosmith. Rick Dufay takes his place.
1982
+ August : “Rock In A Hard Place” is released.
1983
+ Through a difficult struggle and with the help of Tim Collins (who would later become Aerosmith’s new manager), Joe and Brad returned to reunite Aerosmith.
1984
+ Aerosmith launched a “Back In The Saddle Tour” to get back on the road and play live again.
1985
+ December : “Done With Mirrors” is released.
1986
+ February 3rd: Aerosmith plays the Tingley Arena in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
+ February 16th: Aerosmith plays the Armarillo Civic Center in Armarillo, TX.
+ March 7th: Aerosmith plays The Capital Centre in Largo, Maryland with Ted Nugent.

+ April : “Classics Live” and “Classics Live II” is released.
+ Tim Collins risked his job as Aerosmith’s manager and through Steven’s intervention and difficult arguments, he got everyone to agree to get clean and sober up. Rehab was a harrowing period of time for Aerosmith, but they were determined to make it.
+ Steve and Joe appeared on Run D.M.C’s cover/rap remix of “Walk This Way”.
1987
+ August : “Permanent Vacation” is released.
+ Aerosmith toured with Guns N Roses.
+ By this time, every member of Aerosmith was clean and sober, with Tom almost there.
1988
+ January 30th: "Angel" hits charts reaching #3, for 25 weeks.
+ February 13th: Aerosmith plays the Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas with Dokken.

+ Aerosmith went on their “Rockin’ The Joint Tour” with Lenny Kravitz in the fall/winter and Cheap Trick in the spring, but the leg of the tour with Cheap Trick was canceled due to Steven getting throat surgery.
+ Steven Tyler played a role in the film “Be Cool”.
+Joe Perry releases his solo album.
2006
+ August 24th : It was announced that Tom Hamilton was being treated for throat cancer. Tom was absent for most of the “Route Of All Evil Tour” so he could make a full recovery. While he was away, David Hull ( former bassist from The Joe Perry Project) substituted for the dates Tom missed.
+ October : “Devil’s Got A New Disguise” is released.
+ Aerosmith and Mötley Crüe embark on the “Route Of All Evil Tour”.
+ December 1st : Tom returns to finish off the “Route Of All Evil Tour”.
2007
+ Joe appears on the season 6 American Idol finale.
+ Aerosmith goes on a world tour.
+ Aerosmith announces that their newest album with new studio material will be released sometime in the spring of 2008. It features a cover of “Highway Star”, originally recorded by Deep Purple.
