Who has gone and what did you see? Were you sitting? A groundling? Discuss!

I just recently saw Othello at the Globe as a groundling! (3 hours of standing!) Probably my most enjoyable Shakespeare stage experience to date. ^__^

I'm going in a year! Every other year my school takes a group of people to England - we take classes at the Globe and see a bunch of shows at the West End. I'm quite excited ^_^

That sounds exciting! Are you taking a acting program at the Globe then?

my school always takes year 9 students who are writing a shakespeare paper in their sats to the globe to do some workshops, but sometimes me and my mates go visit, when we are in town. I really wanted to see Othello there in the hols but I was away so I missed it. Gutted. Hope to go see something there soon though.

I was there this fall! Talk about a dream come true.

Saw: As You Like It and Love's Labour's Lost.

Groundling all the way! And I got to be right next to the stage both times xd Best way to see it.

I heard about the production of Othello - one of my profs saw it and said that Iago in particular was brilliant.

My college does the same thing - they send a group of students (generally upperclassmen) in the fall, and then a freshman honors group in the spring. I was in the Fall 2009 group. I didn't get to see any other shows in the West End or anything, but I did get to see 2 shows in the Globe! (see previous post)
