Ok, in my other guild we have something much like this. It's a place to discuss things that effect the guild (both good and bad) that need addressing on a serious note. The word 'silent' is thrown up there to indicate that no off topic banter (no matter how sweet/good natured/evil/funny) will be allowed and that things of that nature should be taken elsewhere.
Basically, if you don't have a serious comment on whatever topic is at hand, please don't post random banter; it will be deleted.

Ah, good idea Amber.
So, I would like address our first issue, Member fees, yes or no?
Member fees would help with guild donation for other neato stuff we could want. However, not many fans out there have much gold, nor would they want to spend any just to join.
Discuss your reasons and decisions for this issue. The majority vote rules in this one.
Note: If you agree with member fees, say what the price you would want it to be.

I think a small fee would make it so the members we pull in would be more willing to stay put (say maybe 100 gold or less). But this fee shouldn't be mandetory on signing up. New members should have a grace period in which they can be part of us and pay or decide they aren't quite a CTS themselves and quit; no gold lost.

Well, before we vote on member fees, I think we need to know exactly the features will be. I am not totally against a member fee, however how much money would it realistically generate? If we set the fee too low we won't make much money, but if we set the fee too high, no one will want to join. I am just trying to decide myself my opinion on the matter. What does everyone else think? And does anyone know what some features might be that they would charge for in the future? Edit: Amber's idea sounds good to me! But still, lets hear what more people think...

Lance, did you fully understand the thing about how we can't withdraw the gold in the guild account?

Ok, I found the info about the gold but I'm still not sure why the mods did this...
"The guild donation system and account logging is a feature that is reserved for future use. You can donate at any time, and if you have an entry fee that gold will also go into the guild account. At this time THERE IS NO WAY TO ACCESS GUILD GOLD. Do not ask moderators to use this gold. This will be used in the future for guild only features. If you donate gold to your guild, you will not have access to it at this time!"

I think that until we know what exactly the currently inaccesible guild gold will be used for, we should just wait. With our current lack of information it may be unwise to commit to anything just yet. Edit: Ah yes~! That sounds good indeed, Amber. At the very least a small fee would ensure that only people who really wanted to join would, it's like a little test of dedication to Penny Arcade, or something ^_^

The gold will eventually be used for Guild quests and such things, so it will be useable in the future, possibly before the beta. At least, this is my understanding of it.
Besides, how hard is it to get 100 gold? Going post-happy in the chatterbox and GD should be more than enough.

I agree with Amber. A small fee like that is easy for anyone to get, and if after a few postings they decide they don't really want to be part of the guild, they won't have to lose anything. Besides, what's 100 gold to a truly dedicated PA fan? wink

It looks like everyone seems to agree to put the fee at 100. I'll need all of you to confirm this before I make it all set.
