Three different characters and I still don't have a reason to post anything.

Did everyone take a vacation away from computers or something? Nothing new anywheres I look.

Sometimes this happens, you'll just have to accept it. Unfortunately you can't make new characters for awhile, because Aria is having some pc probs and probably won't be able to approve/disapprove your application.

HOWEVER!...I always have an extra character lying around, and if it's a sensei your needing, I have one. However, if you have genin and just wanna go missing, I can do that too. cool


Tyson, as far as your missing nin goes, we unfortunately need another one, simply because Menz hasn't posted in what seems like a long time. He doesn't normally disappear for this long. If he were around, we would officially be the first missing nin squad since the reformat/long-break.


For about a year, the guild was essentially dead. Like, literally, everything was pretty much closed off. I honestly can't remember why. If I remember correctly, there was some sort of big argument and then something bad happened, and then everyone just kinda stopped posting.

Back then, we had about...maybe a good 20-40 consistent members, and like, a LOT of teams. I think I had about two teams I was running, as well as about ten or so other characters. It was rad, we we all having a fun time. Teams rarely disbanded because if you had one member who only posted like, one a month, you just kicked him out. Back then alot of people were always trying to steal the battle system. Even I myself feel slightly guilty, as I once asked Aria to use her system as a template. Although, It was for a Shaman King guild, and my system ended up being...larger, to say the least.


Anyways...Post up here your characters and I'll see about tossing in my ANBU to look after you, unless you'd rather be looked after by a Chuunin and all go missing nin with him.

It was mostly just apathy that made everyone stop. Me, I stopped playing because I thought the battle system was a horrible addition, and a friend of mine ended up having to dramatically change her character because in the battle system she wasn't allowed to have a summon the size that she did, and rather than just work around it or find a solution Aria's suggestion was just to change it as though it were no big deal. I disagreed with her leadership style, I didn't particularly care for the majority of the rping (far too many GaryMary Stus that could do anything), and it just stopped being fun. I had other things to do with my life, and I think that's what a lot of other people felt too.

Boredom strikes everyone eventually...it's a fact, sad but true. My luck seems to murder me when it comes to trying to rp with my teammates. Like many other times in the past, I lose internet access for a decent period of time, and my team either disbands or I end up being replaced. It really sucks....but I'm sure eventually I'll be able to stabilize my internet access and I'll finally be able to rp with a team without any worries of being replaced or the team dying from my lack of activity.

Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to go missing nin cus my char's a Mikazuki.....but I don't mind teaming up with any random nin's either.....hell I'll even start a fic for my character until some new teams start up to, if that's what it takes^^;;

So. I heard people were talking about me. biggrin

First off: Basic? Intermediate? That didn't exist when Symph and I were roleplaying our characters in here. The stat system was much more basic back then; I still have Ryuuki's second character form, if you want to see what it was like, though I sadly no longer have the original before the battle system's first revision. The first form was the one where you would find his original summon, Koriki, who was very much Ryuuki's caretaker and mentor; the second, you would find another summon, Seishiku, because Koriki was needfully killed off during the first Chuunin exams when it was found that the way the character had originally been accepted was not in accordance with the rules (either any further or at all; revisions had begun before this point, so it's unclear which is the fact).

I've got nothing against Aria, because seriously; this is her roleplay, and how she wants things to go is her decision. In the end, though, once it was found that Koriki's size didn't/no longer matched with the rules, the only option I was really given was to just have him magically change to a smaller size. Never mind that his size played an enormous (no pun intended) role in his and Ryuuki's relationship, or that due to his special status (never revealed in roleplay: the contract was a bloodline sorta deal, not an actual summoning contract- lots of fun details that never got revealed in the time I was RPing with RtFS, but were on Ryuuki's original character sheet when he was submitted), he couldn't just be defined as "poof magic kawaii tiger, chibi-fy NOW!". So, option considered, discarded; in order to fit with the rules, Koriki had to be removed from the roleplay, and in order to break his commitment, there wasn't too much to do except to kill him off. I still have all the RP from that saved on my computer, because damn was that a hard one to do. Ended up having very little purpose, didn't give my character any direction, just yanked the rug out from under him and gave him a whole new reason to emo.

That wasn't what caused me to leave RtFS at all, though. I had a blast running Ryuuki way back when with my teammates, even after Koriki was out of the picture; but eventually, it was poor organization that ended up choking the team I was on to a standstill. And once that happened, I had no motivation for the other team I was running, or expanding anything with my ANBU character. Ryuuki and the rest of the team was the thing that had made me love the RP so much, and when there was nothing that could keep things moving with their storyline, I moved onto different things.

That's my two cents, anyway. I gotta run to work, so dunno if I'll be posting anything else on this; if RtFS is dead, though, rest in peace to it. It had awesome potential back then, even if it could be a little screwy at times. :< *salute*



(PS: Remember, Symph, our characters still kicked that dragon's a**, even though we were only Genin. XD Mind (and exploding seals... and falling buildings) over matter FTW!)
