Well the worst thing that happend to me was at my first football game. We were doing the show for half time and this was the 1st time we did it in front of other people and a girl put my swing flag on the wrong side of the feild so during the 2nd tune I had to go out there with nothing pretending to do my work! I was waving my arms like a idot! redface

loll, my worst was at a football, game though not my first, I set my flag where it was supposed to be but someone else didnt so they took my flag in the closer, someone else took my best friends too, so we both sat in the back behind the backdrop so we wouldnt make a scene.

My capitan's flag broke at the base once when she was doing her flag work, and she had to finish out with just the base of her pole, she cried after ward, but now its funny! xD

Oooo I can beat everyone on this. At my very first competition we were marching out onto the field and the person behind me stepped on my shoe, which then fell off. I tried to pick it up along with the person behind me[who was a fellow guard member] but the person behind her kept going so she told me to leave it. I then screwed up the entrance. I was at the beginning of the line and I was suppose to gradually angle towards one of the lines on the field..haha didn't do that very well because I was freaking out. Yeah so then we are getting ready to get set and my band director comes running down the lines yelling."WHAT COLOR GUARD MEMBER LOST THEIR SHOE?" I was like..uhm ME! and so he gave it to me and I put it on. Yeah so then I kind of freaked out because I had already started out so bad. So during part 2 of the show I was flagging and I did a small toss with a big gust of wind..my flag went to the left as I started to go to the right. I had to stop and turn back. I tried to recover quickly but ended up stepping on my flag and pulling the pole causing me to fall. I don't think I've ever gotten up any faster in my entire life. Yeahh thenn near the end of the show. I was jazz running towards the front sideline while I tried to do a little toss and i stepped on my silk so I didn't do that toss. So pretty great first competition huh? Yeah we had a double competition that day so I was freaking out for the second one, but I had no mishaps there.

Wow! Poor you! I don't think no one can beat that! But one time at a game, I think it was at Clenton, but on the way to the football game we had a bus with a radyader(sp) and I was sitting under it. It leaked water and it pored all over me!!! I was soked!!! The only other seat that was open was next to a guy that was lets say not the best person in the world. Then at the game my flag got cought in barbed wire on top of the fince that went around the feild before the show... and ripped it! I was very mad. Then to make it worst when I went to the bathroom at 3rd quarter break the sleave of my uniform fell into the tolite! It was wet all night!!!! Yea doesn't beat i_love_you911 but I'm glad that's all that happend to me.

Well there are actually two things bad that happened to me while in colorguard.

First off, in my first year of colorguard (I was in 6th grade), we were creating a routine that we were going to preform for one of our feater high schools. In the routine, there was a section where we had to get off the ground very quickly. When I got off the ground, I used my right hand to help me up. But instead of using my whole hand, and put all my weight on my pinky finger. I was in a cast (not a finger splint because of the way it broke) for 3 1/2 weeks, and then once the cast was off, i had to tape my fingers together for 3 more weeks. Because of this, I didn't get to be front flag for parade.

The other thing happend to me my freshman year of high school. It was my first field show competion. We were practicing our routine in a block, while the band was practicing in a different area. Anyways, while we were doing one of the routines, there was a part where I was still squatting on the ground, and the person next to me was up doing the routine. When the person next to me brought the flag around him at a low 45 degree angle, he accidentally hit me in the mouth with it. The area where he hit caused on of my teeth to puncture the skin in my mouth. Because of that, my mouth swelled up and the punctured area started to bleed. Out of all the times for something like this to happen it happened a few minutes before we went on to perform. The swelling made it hard to do facials. The swelling went down after about a day but the sore left by the puncture lasted for weeks

The person setting my flags set my third song flag ten yards too far over. I couldn't go get it without bringing down our score (it was a competition), so I ended up air-flagging the whole third song. I think it gfot us an extra point or two. So it was all good in the end.

My sophmore year I had a really cool riffle solo. It was all windy and it had rained befor our compitishon, but I felt so confident!! I did awsome through the whole show, and so did the rest of the guard!! and I was sycked in the middle when it was time for my solo, it all went great tell I went to do my 360 toss and I slid on the wet patch and my riffle came down and busted my lip open. I recovered fast and kept going!! then at the end of the show I found out I was bleeding EVERYWHERE!!!!

One of the girls on guard was marching with her flag, and she was spinning it around when BAM, the weight fell off and almost knocked some little kid out. He was like, crying, and was all "why'd you do that?" and she was all "sorry! sad " She had to run, go grab the weight, and try and put her flag back together.

OR when my hair fell out of the neat bun in the middle of the show. And it was windy. So I had little wisps of hair in my eyes, but I couldn't stop spinning.

Or when I almost killed a drum major that got too close while I was spinning in a parade.

Ok, so my second year of guard, we had "guard" helpers that were supposed to load our flags on the pit wagon thing... well, the forgot and at a competition, the entire guard had to go out and "air flag" the closer.

My third year of guard, we had these ugly loose top uniforms, well, my flag got caught and I flashed everyone at a foot ball game.

And this year, my 6th year of guard, my pants won't stay up, and I have to pull them up all the time. Well, my pants fell down at the first game. It was horrible. And I ran into a drummer the last game... and mind you, I'm in college now.
